Do I have to use a scout alt to travel in nullsec safely?

There is also a MWD trick with a cov ops ship to get past bubbles of null. Should help keep your main from being a non disposable alt as well. Alot of game mechanics are hard and require sacrifice or so. Think of titans and supers not docking, caps taking cyno to travel and thus your disposable alt is now disposable as well as cyno lighting able.

There are also JC as a form to travel, but do have to get a ship down there as well at some point.

Use intel channels, use disposable alts, or take a chance on what's on the other side of the gate.

Or go back to empire.

I didn't say that I want safe travel without a careful plan, I was saying that DISPOSABLE ALTS SHOULD NOT BE THE ANSWER.

FREE DISPOSABLE ALTS SHOULD NOT BE THE ANSWER TO ANYTHING. They make the game less real without consequence, and bring no income to CCP

Disposable alts are not THE answer, they are AN answer.

Quit whining and learn how the game works.

Pay attention to the answers you get and do some thinking about it.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Having flown a Battleship 20 jumps solo through null all I can say is you will usuaully only come a cropper at the exit to low / high sec as this is the Eco-system for pvp in eve

Oh and check your map. 400 people in one I the systems you are going through won't end well for you

Scouting isn't mandatory but successfully getting where you want without losing your ship correlates with success or failure here

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

It's simple.

Fit out a faction or T2 BS of your choice, officer fit of course, and fly gate-to-gate as if you're the biggest swingin' **** in the valley.

The neckbeard gatecampers will be so taken aback by your sheer courage that they'll warp off in terror.

fly a cloaky nullified t3 and you should be good

As mentioned briefly, hit F10 and check your map. If you know where you want to go, set a destination and check your map for 'ships killed in the last hour','pods killed in the last hour', 'number of jumps in the last hour', etc... it will give you a lot of information. It isn't perfect but it does help.

I don't use alts of any kind, ever. I've found covops to be the best if you don't have a friend to scout or good intel. Be smart about it, don't warp directly to the gate if there's a possibility of a bubble. If necessary, wait until just after downtime ends to get past a particularly tough camp. With proper precautions, I've moved t1 haulers through null safely. It just takes planning and patience. Don't forget to use the map to see where hotspots may be. Try alternate routes around them if needed.

While 0.0 should not be considered safe, there are many ways you can reduce your risk of getting caught travelling; and I don't mean flying a faster / cloaky ship. Obviously if you go solo you have the option of scouting or not, but you refuse to do so therefore:

Intel Channels
Map Statistics
Knowledge of local choke points.
Travel in a fleet, have a friend scout.
Jump bridge networks / bridging

It's already safe enough as it is. I'm not sure what tools you expect to have available to single account pilots (therefore automatically applying to every eve player) which wouldn't break any opportunity to catch players at gates.

It's not really big issue to ask someone to scout for you.
