As announced by CNN this morning US air carriers are advised to avoid the area due to volcano ash and the possibility for alot more.

Good luck to all you guys (and gals) over there. Hope it dosen't get any worse for you all.

Wouldn't it be neat if the EVE gate had effects matching the status of major volcanoes in Iceland?

5.1. Yeah, that will awaken you in the middle of the night.

Have seen ash cover towns, and cities.

Ah a new, bigger fissure showed up. Any ash fall yet, or it'll be white steam only like the last one on friday?

I'm sure this will just be devastating for all the tourists who want to visit Iceland in Autumn.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Airspace is still open just not around the fissure.

Ash will only be falling around the vents and there will be little of it even there. The lava erupting is not full of gas (gassy lava is what we got with Eyafghgaburgle plus it was under an ice sheet making it even more explosive) so it will be providing nothing more than a lava flow and will look very pretty.

so, if this keeps going, a tourism boon for Icyland on winter?Lol
