Contributing to the Eve Chronicles?

I enjoy writing fiction. Is there perhaps a way for people such as myself to submit pieces to CCP for consideration of being added to the Eve Chronicles?

I don't ask for any guarantee of having the work published or, for that matter, any compensation. Like I said, I just enjoy writing, but I also like to have a purpose behind my work (rather than just writing for myself and a few readers on the forums). All in all, having the opportunity for the chance of publication is pretty neat.

I think this could be a win-win for CCP (free material) and other writers like myself looking for a creative outlet.

The big barrier would be that Eve chronicles are Eve's lore, whatever gets published as eve chronicle is part of the Prime Fiction. While this is very appealing, it also puts severe restrictions on what can be published.
Allowing eve players to send in stories for publication would mean CCP has to hire/delegate someone just to shift through stories to make sure they only publish those who add on the lore in a sensible way.

However, I would support an initiative that would give some love to the eve chronicles & Eve ingame news. Been publishing a variety of small stories, lore articles & reports centered around eve for a while now on my blog, attracting a good following so there's surely a demand for ingame news & stories by players.

Edit: I was wrong! Check ISD Mercury Project, you can write stuff for the game!

I believe the Chronicle "Cold Wind" was written by a player and became official lore. So what you mention has happened before.

Any ideas where you learned that? The art work itself was from an artist who contributed quite significantly to early EVE artwork and the Cold Wind itself is now a major part of Caldari lore!

Replying again, as my original answer is faulty.

the ISD program does have a lore section: ISD Mercury, they're the folks writing ingame news & articles for a variety of things CCP does.

Here's a link to the volunteer ISD program as a whole: Volunteer Program: Interstellar Services Department It also contains a small explanation on how to apply for the ISD team. You can also mail/contact most ISD divisions directly (except the Mercury folks for some reason)

Hope this is what you look for!

I think Cold Wind was written by Herko, along with some other works.
