the OP has been kickin himself for months now and is considering this a public service (Justification 101)
anyway, I think so far I have been quite right, this thread started when geckos were at 12 mil. I predicted 25. we hit 40 last weekend. dump to 30 was only logical.

when geckos hit around 21 mil, a massive dump followed, bringing geckos back down to about 16 mil for a long while. recently we spiked all the way up until "someone" brought it back down to 30.

its the ebb and tide of market movement, the positive and negative of physics, the up and down of a sinewave. look past that and all I see is a market going up, up, up. and since the only argument for a downward movement could be A) a massive, massive, massive dump (shoot me a mail if you're planning a dump, I'll be there to clean up the mess :P) and B) CCP releasing new geckos: I have yet to witness either of these options. your dumps are not massive, I have not yet seen new geckos.

the only question I have right now as to what phase we are witnessing right now:

are we whale watching or are we bear hunting?

For anyone interested in this market, the weekend looked to be a moshpit between 30-33 but it burned out a lot of the active stock. Give it a few days to be sure but if orders remain mostly stagnant by about Thursday then they're probably primed for another rise...albeit a small one, plenty of market volume around 35-36.

Better than ever.
few speedbumps before we get on the highway again, too static prices makes people nervous. someone dumped geckos all the way down to 20mil last night in jita, bounced right back to about 27 mil right now. we know a few things for sure:
1. people are eyeing this market like hawks,
2. earlybirds that got on the geckotrain at around 10-15 mil are eager to see results (last night, anyone?)
3. people that hopped on the geckotrain post 25 mil did so believing it will break the 50,
4. there's so much isk invested in this market right now that people wont let it drop so easily (once again, last night anyone?) and
5. gecko's are still being used and abused with glee.

Just look at how things went with Technetium, a bottlenecked item that everyone jumped on. it had a few waves before it crashed through the roof. leopard may be a better example, things sold for far less than they do now and its a goddamn shuttle. the geckomarket is bottlenecked (better yet there is no fresh supply) and the panic traders are leaving. this leaves only the ones that are in it for the long run, which are usually the ones with cash. which is usually because they made the right calls...

so the only risk now may be christmas time. thats 4 months from now, more than enough time to ride the post-summer holiday wave. and chances are that if geckos are NOT being released around christmas, they will never be released again.

Let the prices keep going up because I have scanned down three in the past week. I found one in a belt just sitting beside some guy in a tristan. It was about 10k off and he didn't even notice. I scanned it down and scooped it up. I have only found those three geckos but I have founds loads of other drones. I have found just about every kind of drone except those Harvester miners.
