We don't, because in Empyrean Age and Templar One, capsuleers walk amongst baseliners and look just like us (with obvious differences when they've been freshly cloned).

That specific capsuleer was sending that image to intimidate. He probably didn't actually look like that himself, it was just a scary avatar he was sending to convince the dirtsiders that he was both able and crazily willing enough to carry out the threat he was making.

Maybe he was both able and willing. But the chronicle heavily implies that the appearance in question was calculated to terrify, rather than being an accurate representation of that individual pilot, much less of all pilots in general.

Among other things, that avatar wasn't depicted floating naked in a gel bath.
