DED Site De-Spawn While Mining-Out = B A D

We can all understand the necessity of taking steps with the DED Site de-spawn because of the Cloaking issues and all that.....

.....but can there not be a mechanism to detect legitimate activity in the Site ?

But, 5 minutes into mining out the Jaspet and Hemo in Sansha's Lookout, and then everything evaporates ?? Really ???? For REALLLZZZ ?????? Evil

Thanks a lot for this latest slap in the face to legitimate miners. Please Sirs, may we have another ???

Probably not as there is nothing stopping some guy putting a sigil in there with a single basic mining laser and expanders and keeping the site open for the next 2-3 hours as a work around the cloak thing.

I lied :o

It's called you go there and blow him up since if he's mining he's not cloaked. =P

I thought the point was to stop cloaked ships doing it, not all ships.

Trolling explorers by keeping DED sites open so they can't respawn and drop more loot? How kind of you!

I wouldnt mind allow miners to camp at a DED site, makes them easier prey for a suicider being all alone.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

Heh, they probably didn't think about this case when making the change. Post it as a bug report if you want results.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

But noooooo--one wants to see a AFK logout timer because it would "hurt" miners and traders (=people who are AFK the most).

My guess is it was an oversight. The probably didn't think people actually did mine those.

I think you should file a bug report, detailing why this is an issue.

Their solution to this is probably 'remove the ores' from DED complexes. .

Yeah. I assumed it had to do with static activity or something. Apparently NOT.

I know, but some of us aren't. Wish I had a picture of my face when the rocks just vanished. lol

Structures, particle cloud, fake asteroids......all gone in an instant and plunged into Deep Space.

File a bug report... this is clearly one.

Uncloaked ships should prevent de-spawn.

Mining doesn't count as “legitimate activity” in a combat site, obviously — it despawned when you were done… Blink

I'm a miner. Implement logout timer please. make it so macros dont register as activity. Death to botminers!

Autopilot should be fine. Pirates need stupid people to relieve of precious cargo.

It's for decoration, just like the garnish on your dinner plate, you're not actually supposed to mine/eat it.
