Is this thing still sketchy from a malware perspective? I haven't updated EFT since the May 22 release and I miss having an up-to-date version.

Yeah I clicked the link, and had half a dozen windows pop open, all trying to sell me something, and none that had the actual download. Sketchy as hell.

I've updated my mirror Mirrored 2.23.2
http://www.schildwall.info/eft/EFT2.23.2.zip

Successful checksum verification comparison (using https://defuse.ca/checksums.htm) - stated by Gripen in his OP - on a copy downloaded there. But you'd rather compare that yourself Blink

It ever was? Or you mean because someone chooses to use norton 10 years after it has died? :)

In EFT (checked 2.23.2) Rattlesnake DON'T receive missile damage bonus from Galliente Battleship skill: 10% bonus to kinetic and thermal missile damage. Please fix it. Thanks.

Request?:P

The drone meta is rather popular at the moment. People are efting drone setups frequently, but if you want to look at optimal ranges for sentrys, migth just be me beeing lazy and don`t wanna show info on drones allt he time, so would be awesome to get a row in the dronebay on eft that show some basic drone stats like optimal + falloff, speed and maybe orbit range?

Cheers

Yeah, the drone info and tracking info is one place where Pyfa is out ahead of EFT. The lack of stability of Pyfa on my machine keeps me using EFT. It's not just a matter of looking at "Show Info" on Drones too, since that will show you the base stats and not what you get from your skills / modules / hull-bonus etc.

I was wondering about treating Drones as a set of "slots" listed below the rigs on the UI to give you all those columns in the interface.

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

Pyfa team member here (yes, I stalk the competition ;P), would like to know more of this lack of stability for your machine.

Feel free to let us know here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=247609 or send me a direct EVE mail or convo.
Alternatively, submit an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/DarkFenX/Pyfa/issues.

I am always on the lookout for stability issues / bugs.

You can use "Selected Item" information window (Main menu > View > Selected Item Info) to quickly get up-to-date information about any item by selecting it. Cargohold and drone lists are not quite suitable for additional information columns as they were designed to be as narrow as possible.

If you click "Show Info" on drone in your dronebay you'll get information with all the possible effects applied.

Chrome is blocking the download on your alternative mirror, citing malware. I turned malware protection on Chrome off and downloaded anyway, but before unzipping, I ran a variety of scans on the file, including with Malwarebytes. Nothing was detected. So I unzipped it to a 'holding' file where I ran another barrage of scans. Still nothing. The problem is with Chrome, and you should probably let users know that if they're downloading from the alternative mirror, they'll have to turn off malware detection in Chrome to do it. Not sure how different browsers will react to the file, this only applies to Chrome users.

Holy porn and spam pop ups...

If you want a reliable ad free host, let me know, and I'll host it for free for you, it's only 2.1mb.

That was ridiculous to just the file.

I just downloaded this with Firefox with Ghostery and Adblock Plus both active, and then I scanned it with Avast Antivirus. No viruses or popups.

I am unable to drag warfare links into the projected effects box. Not from the fitting list or from another ship fit. Other effects, remote repair, webs, etc work just fine. Any ideas?

Updated to 2.23.3. Using this link will always redirect to the most recent version that I've put there. Might take me a moment (or day) to update. checksum verification is done, but you might as usual check that yourself. There's two redirects for that in the directory. One to Gripen's OP, one to the checksum webtool I use.

Ganglink effects are applied by selecting an open fitting (with selected character) as Fleet/Wing/Squad Commander. Select one from the positions to the right of a fitting you want those ganglinks have effect on.

Hi.
I don't know if someone asked for this, but could you please add a small option for russian players? The thing is that if you use russian client ' * ' is added after all item names. That's why fits exported from EFT don't want to be imported in russian EVE. To be more understandable i'll include two files as an example.
XML file, i've edited and it worked in EVE - http://1drv.ms/VXKFSh
XML file, i didn't touch - http://1drv.ms/VXKNkR

Changing these settings will prevent the "*" from being added to items in exported fittings - plus removing the requiremend for them to be present in fittings to be imported.

You might also try the html page created by EFT to import fittins a little more comfortably. There's a modified template for this which adds search functionality.

The last update borked EFT quite hard unfortunately, at least for me.

Whenever I try to open/view a setup created before version 2.23.3 that has a blue pill booster active, I just get a blank fitting window and the following error message:

---------------------------
EFT - EVE Fitting Tool

Access violation at address 00512CCF in module 'EFT.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
---------------------------

I did a little bit of testing by opening up all kinds of setups and so far it seems to be limited to blue pill boosters only, but applies to all ships.
Creating a new setup with blue pill active works and opens up fine.

I hope this is not just an issue in my EFT and can be fixed, I have a lot of active shield fits saved that I would hate to lose :(
