The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. • Hyperion Release Has Been Deployed!
The Hyperion release for EVE Online has been successfully published on August 26th. Check out the Hyperion feature page, Hyperion dev blogs, and the patch notes. Enjoy the latest release!

A new feature to donate game time to someone else was introduced with Hyperion. Read all about this feature, how and why to use it in this short overview article.

• Alliance Tournament XII - Summary of the second weekend
The Alliance Tournament XII continued with its second weekend on August 23rd and 24th. • Brewing your own beer - Pumpkin Ale?
The good tradition and experience with brewing your own beer continues to spawn interesting discussions. This time we see CCP Goliath and CCP Sledgehammer musing about Pumpkin Ale.

General topics

• Investigating the hacking mini game
CCP Bayesian reveals that he is investigating in his 20% time ways to make additions to Hacking and the Hacking mini-game. There is no time frame on when and if any of that work will be seen on Tranquility, but it is still interesting information especially when CCP Bayesian talks about the original design.


• CONCORD doesn't protect, it deters
As CCP Falcon points out, CONCORD primarily doesn't protect but deters players from attacking other unsuspecting players in highsec. Always remember the first rule of EVE "Don't fly what you cannot afford to lose!"


• Improving game play content
CCP Bayesian and Team Space Glitter are focused on improving gameplay content. This includes creating new and better tools for all designers to speed up their work.

Rewards on the new Level 4 missions not high enough?

The reward level for the new Level 4 "burner" missions are currently somewhat low, but will automatically increase over time. Once the reward level has adjusted, it will be above regular Level 4 missions. CCP Fozzie also gives a bit of background information on those new "burners".

Lower spawn rate of the new small ship wormholes connecting between wormhole space

CCP Fozzie follows up on the new "small ship wormholes" introduced with Hyperion. The spawn rate of these wormholes that create connections between two wormhole systems has been considerably reduced.

Update on potential further overview improvements

With Hyperion it is possible to easily share your overview profiles with other players. Iterating this, CCP karkur gives a quick update that the team is looking adding more features.

Thrasher with fins

With Hyperion the Thrasher lots its prominent fins/solar sails due to a bug. This bug caused quite some concern within the player community, but fortunately this bug has been fixed swiftly by the art team. Everyone can enjoy the Thrasher now in its proper beauty....
