Loot management - tips or tricks?

Hi guys,

I tend to be a packrat in most games... this one is no exception.

I run missions, then salvage/loot all wrecks... and have been essentially just tossing the loot in to a couple containers and letting it sit. Occasionally ill dig thru and see if there is anything exceptional in there, but for the most part it just collects dust.

There is just so much of it... its a daunting task thinking about how to deal with it. Is there a trick to it that I don't know about maybe? Somehow to quickly separate the stuff that should be carted to Jita for sale vs the stuff that should be recycled?

Any tips or tricks would be sincerely appreciated!

Personally I just use the in-game filters.

* Meta >= 4 → sell
* Value >= 100,000 → sell
* Value < 100,000 → trash

Depending on where your loot is stashed Pro Synergy do a bag of loot purchasing service.

TL;DR if it's in a station where they have an office they'll pay you approx 90% of the value, retaining the remainder as an administration fee.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I feel your pain, brother.

It only gets worse the more you play. As you can see, my secret is cans. Lots and lots of cans.

I rarely haul anything to market, but when I do it's easy to load up a freighter (yours or one you hire) and haul it off to a hub. Everything is sorted and easy to access.

It's the best solution I've come up with until CCP gets around to giving us tabs in the inventory.

I used to use cans, but now for the most part I just use the search filter. I still have a loot can, and on my alt with industry skills a few blueprint cans.
