"I must be doing it wrong" burner missions- when do i get one?

I have been running level 4 security missions for 2 days in a row now, 8 hours a day. Have yet to get a 'burner mission'
What am i doing wrong?

you are doing a lot of stuff wrong. a lot. but as far as burner missions are concerned, probably you are just unlucky. what Corp are you running for?

how kind of you :)

actually i get to have my laptop at work- can't pay 100% attention-- so pvp is out of the question.
So...im not doing alot of things wrong.
Im enjoying eve.

Just curious about the burner.. I guess ill pray to RNG god

You are taking 4 hours per mission and only getting 2 missions a day? : P

hahah.. well then i would understand :) but no- im down to bltzing them now - no salvage or loot just to get to next mission. 15 minutes to maybe 1 hr at the most (afk times)

And how many missions did you really run?

In order to see how many missions you have finished, you can always go in your "Character Sheet > Standings > Corporations [The corporations you have run the missions for]". Count the number of standing transactions and provide forum the number of run missions.

lol i did 2 missions yesterday and got a burner mission. My frigate skills are pretty bad though so I just declined it.

I have been offered some of them so far. Assuming 3 burner types available per region (out of 5) and the number of missions in the L4 pool per region rough ballpark for the burner mission offer probability should be approximately 15%.

While with 13 missions getting no burner is low probability it is possible. I mean I have seen some pretty bizarre outliers over the years up to the point of getting the same mission offered 5 times in row (which should be about non-existent probability, if only I would have such luck in lottery).

Atm I'm sitting on the other end of outliers. I have been offered already two burners in row once and have been offered altogether approx 5 burners. Tried the blood raider one and lost Wolf plus two T1 failfit frigates which i dragged with me to distract it to it so have not done yet others. I'm in logistically slightly inconvenient spot so have to schedule a shipping run with more AF's.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

I got offered 3 of the burners in a row today from one agent, yet another has only offered 1 in total so far.

I just turn them all down now as they're really not worth doing. As long as they're not added to the 4 hr agent timer cooldown for refusing them in the future I won't complain though.

After the patch the first 2 missions I had were burner missions. Unfortunately, I had to decline both of them as my skills are far from a good frig pilot. :) So.. i guess it depends on luck.

I got the burner mission right after hyperion was released, but I need to say, that:
- frigate is overpowered
- you need at least 3 pilot wing to fight the fast flying Sansha Succubus
- the bount/risk/time is too crazy to do them again
- bounty is 5M, but without DED items, which can motivate pilots to do this kind of missions

- wrong turn with this type of missions

Not worth doing?

The reward I got offered for a burner mission versus the Anomic Burner was 2.1mil isk reward, 13K LP, and 2mil bonus; not to mention the bounty. I was in a .5 system with almost perfect social skills. So I don't understand why these are not worth doing, especially if you use the fits people have suggested.
