Invisible turrets after crucible upgrade?

So after Crucible came about, I decided to fiddle with my graphics settings to see if I could improve the graphics without upsetting the mid range hardware on my laptop. I don't know exactly what I upped to start with, but long story short, I noticed that all the turrets (guns or mining lasers) and their effects have completely disappeared from my screen. I've tried unloading and loading them, and I've tried every graphics option, both high and low, but nothing seems to make the turrets or effects from any ship (not just mine) show. I'm not really sure what I've done wrong.

Well there is simply a turret effect option that you probably turned off. If they Don't reappear right away try relogging or doing a state change like changing system or docking and undocking.
