The other day I was in 9KOE-A at 2011.12.06 20:12:00 when I was encroached upon by a Federation Navy Comet with a MWD online. I turned his way and at 50km's I launched a bomb and flew as fast as I could away. With no time to turn, you can bet the pilot was unprepared as he suddenly found himself in a pod.

Has this ever happened with any other bomber pilots? Getting a nice kill, on accident, with a bomb?

But has it ever happened with other people in these kinds of head-on collisions with bombs?

We had an incident in our WH some while back that is not the same, but is similar, I guess. An alliance was trying to camp our WH, I guess in the hope that we were low on fuel, I am not sure. Anyway, they set up warp bubbles at the exit and hung out there in bombers and other cloaked ships. Anyway, we were coming and going occasionally in SBs or CovOps and they would try to decloak us and/or bomb us. Kinda fun for a break in the normal routine. On one particular day, we were 'running the bubble' to get some people in, and I was on over-watch inside the wh. Our ships appeared for a moment and a few bombs were dropped, but nobody had a MWD on so it was kinda pointless....until a wreck appeared! Turns out, two random pilots who had been wandering w-space were cloaked and motoring to the wh through the bubble, unaware that there were about 10 ships or so inside or coming inside the wh at that moment. A Purifier was apparently right in the cross hairs and could not tank the combined bombs, nor could his pod (although it might have died to direct fire after the bombs, I am not sure).

Umm...this is a common problem for Eve players, something about priorities being screwed up.....

I have a fond memory of watching a bomber kill a thrasher ... and himself... with a bomb at a gate. I decloaked and looted/salvaged their wrecks in front of their pods.

These stories are making me want to go hunting in a SB though.

Let me tell you about that one time they tried to bomb us but ended up killing half their own bomber wing with their own bombs.

Got a Slicer recently bombing a fleet.

Lost my Purifier and pod for my troubles.

The rest of our fleet picked off more of them on the other side of the gate, I was just flushing them through :)

Have to say though, I've never lost my bomber to my own bomb(s), only to a gate camp(got killed, by White Noise gang, 24 hours after the MWD-frig kill), and gate guns(suicide ganked a T1 amarr Industrial as he was on the gate and used my torps).
For people to be losing their Bombers to their own bombs, it would be kind of embarrassing, but hey, at least you don't give your enemies a kill, just yourself. I would feel embarrassed if I did-so, but I'm honored a White Noise crew would deem me offensive enough to their(dunno if it really was) territory. As a long bomber pilot, eh... They can be assured I will be returning for more bombing runs in the next few months. :D

I remember going to defend 9-UY for chribba when they sbu'd his system a few months back in my manticore.

Managed to kill one SBU before NC dot jumped into system and immediately started engaging another group of players on the gate. A few of us thought it'd be a good idea to go back to Empire in our pods so we took turns having bombing runs on the fleet of NC dot burning off the gate.
1st two went to plan, my turn came round and i ligned up, released at 30 from the lead ship and did nothing to evade the fleet fully expecting to be targetted and popped within a couple of seconds by one of the inti's. Didnt happen and got popped by my own bomb along with a cane and rapier lol

Still, was fun
