New to wormholes, and I mainly scout and explore due to skill lack, and different times to corp.

Now in the last few days have found targets that I could not take solo

1. Offline pos with sma and cha but other online towers in system. I could not take it down quickly.
2. A C1 with 2 small towers, no guns and sma and cha at each, plus industry mods. I cannot bring dps to bear.

Both had high sec exits.

Now the first I directed a blue corps to 8 hours later. Second I could not contact anyone.

Now is there a channel that I could offer up a way in to these targets and that someone would be interested in ?

When I get the skills for a decent ship I can probably do more

Any suggestions appreciated

Join a wspace corp. Almost nothing can be done solo in wspace.

While I agree slightly with the above, the cruiser is not one I considered, and is good.

However in cases where I cannot take for whatever reason, just interested if there is a channel that I could post target details and someone may want to take it.

As to joining a wh corp, well I probably cannot do much at present above c2/3 so getting the experience before I apply

Sounds to me like your already smarter then most people starting in WH. I would find a corp you got good experience and the ambitious nature to do fine work in a WH.

Not true. There are a lot of wormholecorp who only require the ability to scan and fly t1 ships. Find someone to share the fun with!

SMA's are incrediably quick to take town with a single ship. If you find an offline POS, don't try and shoot the tower, just go for the Hangers and Hardeners.

So long as you can scan and are willing to jump in a ship and PvP, you're a benefit. As for site running, while you are probably not able to take them solo yet, a good corp will take you in a group to keep you alive and let you learn the ropes.

Also, what timezone are you?

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

As a fellow solo scanner/WH guy (my corp is largely ornamental), I can say that if it had been me, I would have come back to those SMA's with an ishtar and popped them regardless of contents.

Honestly, it's not safe to fly around solo in a wh, but isn't that kinda the point? Also, at the end of the day you're not all that likely to get jumped as long as you move fast, and even if you do what's 250m isk to a WH pilot anyway?

Finally, if you're a person that likes scanning and is willing to fight, you're useful. It's better to have more developed skills, but there are always positions in any fleet comp that can be filled by relatively low SP folks.

I recommend you try to hook up with a WH group soon, because it's more fun to have friends to back you up. Also, don't let your friends install steam, or else they'll just be AFK all day playing LOL/DOTA2.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

I'll agree with all the other people advising you to join a wormhole corp. If you really want to go it alone, you can, but you'll need at least 2 or 3 accounts to be able to run sites while maintaining basic security. If your interest is solely in pvp, you can find plenty of that, but again, having mates is best, and multiple accounts is really helpful.

In the short term, get back to that offline pos with the SMA and CHA, pop them and scoop what you can. It is rare to find an offline pos with tasty loot still available, so jump on it before someone else does. I'd skip the online towers in the C1, though. Bashing POS towers is never fun, but doing it solo is a form of torture banned in most civilized countries.

Thanks to all

I have some mails that I will be replying to.

I have my own pos setup in my hole (and that's a true leaning experience)!
But it's teaching me logistics in a hole that has no high sec static.
To be honest learning pi, pos set up and scouting keeps me busy.
There are also 3 others here that are on sometimes the same time as me, and two are old hands.
Ran a data site last night, and when they logged off, went exploring and did a itty v run(fuel) through a couple of connections

Tripwire also makes my life simple, and soon it will all be on my blog, ( I write 2 weeks in arrears)

I live in an eu timezone, but due to wife and children rarely play in prime times.

I am trying to read this forum as well.

If you find things needing shooting can always try picking someone from some of the corps who post here to see if they have a close exit.

I strongly urge you to join a wormhole corp. It'll make a world of difference for you and show you aspects of wormhole life that are not feasible by yourself, if that is something that interests you. Like has been said, your skills make little difference to some groups. What is important for other groups is "do you get along with others", "are you a good fit for the corp", "are you teachable", and "can you scan"? If you meet those, the training skills will get queued, and you will mature as a wormholer much better, without the interference of bad habits and misconceptions from other areas of gameplay.

The notables are wormhole groups, and the list is just the tip of the iceberg of the whole selection of wormhole groups. Some groups are less vocal and keep to their own. That being said, if you get active in some of the channels, watch for activity and get involved and meet new folks, and ask in channels for guidance on fittings, ships, and even finding a perfect wormhole group of friends. I'd recommend you check out the recruitment tool ingame and also the recruitment sub forums for more options.

It's a modern miracle that any corp accepts me
