Also, tags from faction missions are still good for the time and energy. Standings be damned, I say. If I need something from Gallente or Minmatar space, I have alts that can do the heavy lifting in that department.

I used to say that, then I ran a few SoE storyline missions... Standings are a joke.

Higher level SOE storylines have a ludicrous effect on Gallente standings.

A friend of mine (that does a lot of lv4 missions for a living) said you should only loot missions known to have good drops (as in, the navy ones that drop a ton of tags, or those with a chance of dropping a good implant like damsel in distress or AE4).

Otherwise, you get more isk/hr by blitzing and cherry picking missions from a high isk/LP faction.

I've made a signature. I hope you're enjoying it. www.evetrademaster.com - web based asset manager & profit tracker

I don't bother with ether salvage or loot anymore it's not worth the time to collect/salvage it. I just collect the bounty's and mission rewards as quickly as possible. I'm making good ISK running lvl 4 missions without it.

I guess I will play devils advocate here. I don't farm level 4's but I do pick 1 day a week to spend a few hours on them to help pay for my other activities. Not a Min/Max player and can't stand to do pure mindless stuff for long. To help make missions more 'enjoyable' I use 2 accounts. One combat pilot to blow thought missions and one in a Noctic to salvage at the same time. Doing both at the same time keeps me busy and make the missions go by a lot faster. I usually salvage everything. At the end of the night, filter the good stuff and melt the cheap crap, which I use for manufacturing stuff (my new hobby).

Is this the max ish per hour. No. But it does make missions running a lot less tedious.

Agreed. Although I have only one account, salvaging between missions breaks up the tedium.

In a number of cases now i find its better to just move on to the next 1, or delegate the loot/salvage to a noob friend.
Mtu prevalence has really killed the value of a lot of meta drops (just like the noctis flooded the salvage market when it was released)

Usually though, just drop the mtu let it do its stuff, haul it all away in a noctis. Pick through it back in station. Even the cheap meta stuff may be useful. If you arent afraid of running market orders, and hauling a few stacks of crappy guns and tank gear 1j or 2 into lowsec, you can actually get some serious cash for it, just stock up a blockade runner, and have a friend scout you a few jumps out to a remote station.

IMHO it was always like that, but the pool of acceptable missions was bigger.

Also, you shouldn't really need a scout for blockade running in low, however, you should already have your safespots saved. If you dont you'll get blown up for ***** and giggles.
