If someone steals loot that is marked as my property using a Mobile tractor unit, the said individual gets a "suspect" flag.
My question is: If I attack and destroy the Mobile tractor unit that he is using to steal my loot won't I get a suspect flag as well?

Unless CCP changed it, MTU's do not tractor in yellow wrecks.

Yeah that's just silly. It's one thing to retaliate for theft and wholelly another to offer my "butt" to a gang Ra** by Concord.

Leeching corps use low level alt to steal loot and salvage, and wach Concord stomp anyone that tries to get his loot back. It's acctually easy to shoot the thief but the leeching corp allways gets it's loot/proffit since it's stuffed in a MTU.

I don't have a problem with people storming me and steeling my loot, salvage and remains while in Wh, Null or low. Good for them, they got me and earned it. But in HichSec the leecher corp is actually protected by the HighSec protection system.

Um no? When somebody steals loot, the thief get flagged as suspect(aka yellow flashy), which makes him a legal target. You should definitely shoot him for stealing your loot. Show him that you're not a pushover!

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

You don't flag suspect if you salvage (unless they changed that), nor do MTU's tractor yellow loot.

Your ignorance of game mechanics is astounding.

Mobile tractor units won't do anything that will get you flagged, that includes sucking up yellow wrecks.
If someone else steals your loot they go suspect, you should definitely shoot at them if you want to see explosions.
Concord will not roll up on you if you shoot someone for stealing your loot.
Salvaging other peoples wrecks is a legitimate playstyle in Eve, and doesn't incur any flags.

Jonah is correct. The MTU will steal blue wrecks (which are legal for everyone) but will not touch yellow wrecks. Once it has scooped loot, you would have to shoot it to get the loot back (minus what ever blows up with the MTU), but doing this will flag you suspect. Which is fun. I actually recommend it, it's a great time.

I have found that the best course of action is to shoot him. Most people that steal mission loot will be scared off when challenged with a fight. Show him that you won't be messed with by shooting him when he goes suspect.

I can actually help you practice some basic skills necessary when engaging a suspect-flagged thief. If you want some tips or help just contact me.

Speaking of enlightenment, see below:

1 oz Crème de Cacao
1 oz Peppermint Schnapps
1 oz Grand Marnier
Garnish with Spearmint Life-Saver

Mix ingredients in a lowball glass and stir. Serve with life-saver attached to glass.

Sir, that is the best comment i've read in ages.

So many things wrong here:

1) CONCORD doesn't shoot you for going suspect.
2) MTUs don't tractor yellow wrecks.
3) Even if they did, it would be assumed that the owner of the MTU would go suspect, which removes the protection you're complaining about.

and the big one

4) HS is not safe space. Never has been. Never was meant to be. It is space with higher costs for aggression.

And you should absolutely shoot thieves. You're in a battleship, they're in a frigate. What are you afraid of?
