I hope this is a forum alt if you plan on awoxing. I'd say get in touch with Feyd, he's always up for training aspiring content creators. If you're looking to make isk pirating, suicide ganking is where the moneys at.

Nah this is my main, my alt will be grinding mining and trading just to ensure I have ISK to burn.
Unless that's somehow a point of concern?

well dont plan on infiltration with it then as this thread will show up if searched.

Confirming that characters get into highsec mission corps that never, ever should.

A character named 'Popblues 420420' or something like that managed to get recruited and they were surprised when he... popped a bunch of blues. I remember it because it generated a tear thread in this very forum section from his prey.

so being a pirate is about killing people/carebears in highsec? what happened to the pirates who live in the darkest corners of space because they have been cast out from highsec and have to make a living by running drugs and stealing from other pirate corps, sorry but code aint pirates they are terrorists.

pirates fight everything not just sit on a gate and wait for a freighter to jump through, pirates fight other pirates over territory and resources, fight militias, roam in gangs looking for people to murder, as much as suicide ganking is a part of piracy its not the only thing pirates do and you are not a pirate if you just kill carebears because thats not piracy its just terrorism

there was a thread in GD asking just that, most people agree that lowsec piracy is pretty much dead

This isn't a moral thing but more of a personal preference in style:

- Honor your word

Trust is near impossible to come by in this game, but if you happen be notorious enough it may be beneficial to be someone that honors ransoms and such.

- Don't make it about ISK

Dont fly recklessly, but don't be so worried about the iskies that you pass up on a good opportunity to learn.

- Everything and nothing is "fair"

Just like in real life, eve does not have to be fair. Don't whine and complain about losses, cheesy tactics, and/or mechanics. This is a sandbox game, so HTFU and enjoy it for what it is.

- This is an MMO

Don't fly alone. Sure soloing is awesome and is a real test of skill and knowledge, but find a group of like-minded pilots and grow together.

- Am I really a woman?

Add some light RP to your activities. While I don't really think nor fantasize about being a woman, I play one in game because she's badass. You want to be a pirate, so act and talk like one (specifically while violencing someone). You have no idea how entertaining it is to watch someone rage when you have some light RP going on.

You don't have to ransom people to be a pirate. Piracy is a state of mind.

Go to lowsec and terrorize. Strike fear into the hearts of many, sploding pods with extreme prejudice. Become a notorious badass.

Highsec mission piracy is another option. There will be lots of tears. The tears will flow like a gaping neck wound. Also, there's gaping neck wounds.

It still is called "Guerrilla Warfare", if WE arm them, that is.

Lan Wang, piracy is defined as:

1. a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea or on the shores of the sea.
2. a ship used by such persons.
3. any plunderer, predator, etc.

Obviously for EvE, substitute "Space" for "Sea".

What is a Pirate? A pirate is not a PVP'er looking for goodfights. As my esteemed cohort, Tengu Grib pointed out, a real pirate would only engage a military vessel out of desperation. A pirate, in most cases, seeks some sort of profit. It just so happens that the mechanics of gameplay in Hisec lend themselves to create a haven for the criminally inclined, but that does not mean it is nonexistent in other security zones.

A soldier seeks to fight.

A pirate seeks to pillage, steal, and plunder.

Terrorism and Guerrilla warfare are two completely different things.

Terrorism is about making people 'afraid' to do/not do something. The Code guys are almost the perfect example of terrorism in eve. PL and other silly big alliances that hot drop anything are another as people often will not bring out to much shiny stuff because they are afraid that it will be hot dropped by them (The FW crowd are a fine example of this, but they will just claim not to need shiny stuff for FW.)

Guerrilla warfare is where a small armed group conducts irregular military actions i.e. ambushes, hit and run, sabotage etc against a larger more regular force. The gallente fighting to hold Eha when Test (I think) decided to take it was an excellent example of this being used in eve. FW is possibly to only place where guerrilla warfare can actual work in eve where everything else can just be swamped by numbers. And no Mr 'leet pvp'er' shooting tackle in nano ships away from the blob is not guerrila warfare it is just simple (but good) basic tactics. Lol
