Stuck Patching

Well, at about 0930 Pacific Time US, CCP shut down the Test Server for an unscheduled reboot, w/evs, no big deal. But now, it tells me there is this patch I have to download that is 5.2mb in size, fine, odd I think, but again, no problem. Downloads patch, goes into the Updater thing, it gets from step 1/7 to 3/7, and gets stuck "Downloading Recipies: Initializing"

Been here for the last 10 minutes, and I've tried it multiple times, restarting the Test Client, always gets stuck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same here.

Update software is looking for something it can't find @ srv196-h.ccp.cc:http and gets stuck in infinite loop.

Same here. And it even throws a fit when I try to close it w/ TM.

Well, good to know I'm not the only one with a problem at least.

The reason that particular patch doesn't work is because your Sisi client is not the current TQ build (323364) but probably a more recent one if you were on Sisi yesterday.

The fastest way I found to get into Singularity (sisi launcher with and without repair, the premiumpatch323364-325367_m.exe, etc didn't work for me) was to simply
1) delete the entire Singularity folder,
2) make a new copy of the current TQ folder (which indeed has an up-to-date build 323364) for use with Singularity
3) then download and execute the specific patch from this http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=singularity, on the new Singularity folder (the patch will ask for the correct location of your Singularity folder)

I used the one referred to in the box "Download TQ to Singularity Patch". The file name wil be evepremiumpatch325367.exe, and this one seems to work. This implies that your current TQ build has to be 323364. If not, select the build from the drop down menu below the box.

Took around 6 min to complete. Hope this helps.

Try this:

  1. Create a separate folder for your test client ( i.e "C:\evetest")

  2. Copy everything from your original EVE folder (by default located at "C:\Program Files\CCP" ) to the new ("C:\evetest").
  3. This step is important, since patching the test client will render it incompatible with the Tranquility server.

  4. Create a shortcut for the new eve.exe file inside C:\evetest

  5. Right click on the shortcut and select properties, then select the shortcut tab

  6. Add /server:Singularity and press OK (Make sure to add a space before the backslash.)
  7. The final look of the Target line would look something like this:
    "C:\evetest\eve.exe" /server:Singularity

  8. Then double click on the shortcut and log in

I did what HaydenJD said and fixed it with downloading the manual Sisi patcher... and yes it did launch the client in TQ mode, but with the above, you can connect it to Sisi..

hope it solves the problem for all of you... Blink

Something little different for me since seems I had an unusual version...

Copied TQ files on SISI folder, ran the repairer tool and once done applied the patch. Works fine now.
