Lets say I found this grav site yesterday in a WH and I bookmarked it. I can warp directly to the bookmark.. I know where it is and what it is. Why then do I have to scan it down again when i leave system or disconnect? its a useless waste of time. Why can't bookmarked signatures just show up already at 100% or not at all if you have a filter on for bookmarked signatures and then there's so much less clutter in your way when scanning a hole you live in or have just recently left and returned to.

I really dont get why leaving a system should erase all that you've scanned. Seriously, do ships in the future have no concept of memory or information storage or are they just idiots and store all their locations on volatile ram? They must have banned pencils and paper too... that or ships run on Mac technology. That would explain alot.

Can anyone tell me why it should be as it is as opposed to how I suggested?

It's also just completely unfair for people who disconnect often to have to re-scan when there are 30 cosmic sigs in system.

I agree, if you have something bookmarked it should show up as 100%. There is nothing more aggravating than scanning the same d*mn sig down 5 times in one week.

EDIT: Also, if you ignore a sig, it should be ignored permanently.

Additionally.. what is the use of filtering gravs and ladars if they still show up as signatures anyways. All I end up doing is scanning them down to like 1-2AU and then they disappear and Im like "WTF? I must have placed my probes wrong." I resize them, it comes back then I do it again... then I /facepalm.
Maybe it should auto ignore them when it fins the type and makes them disappear like that. I could remember teh sig name and ignore it the next time I go back to scanning higher AU to find my next sig to do... but that sux.

I like how you used to be able to use ladar probes etc. They need to reincorporate that somehow. Having to scan everything is wasting peoples time. I log on to play for the 4 hours I have, waste about an hour or more scanning out of my hole and the entire contents of the static if Im doing it alone or in anticipation of other people coming online. Then corp mates either dont come on to play that day and I wasted alot of time or the hole goes unstable.. someone else shows up in that system.. someone's already stolen all the c320 and left only the c540... etc etc etc.

It should be a bit quicker. Not too quick or people are going to be flyin through WH space like no tomorrow, but improved somehow. Maybe a filter for basic, intermedite and advanced sites and just leave wormholes mixed in and hidden.

Hadez411 is right: there is too much routine in organizing signatures that are already scanned down. I believe some automatization could be performed there without hurting game mechanics.

It was better if signatures that are scanned to 100% were automatically saved in the list so that they appear in the system scanner window the next time you're in the system. There must be separate submenu for these entries under right click menu. These references shouldn't automatically disappear from the list under any circumstance. They must be marked as "probably invalid" and their signature ID must be set to represent this unkown state during downtime (they may turn from green to grey for example). References should not be removed automatically, then people can figure out outdated refereces and delete them on their own.

These references must be shared among corp and fleet members: if my corp or fleet buddy was in this solar system and scanned something down I must have access to it. Even if he leaves fleet or corporatin my computer still remembers signatures he made until this moment. Alternatively, if instant sharing is too much to have, there should be a way to transfer this data between people. For example, one may load all signatures data into POS computer where other people could later download it or load this data directly into the computer of the target ship while being close to it. Or there might be an "item" (like data disc or somthing) that you can extract from your computer and give to the other person. When loaded into computer it updates the ship with all signatures data it contains.

When people warp to wormholes the first time, their wormhole signature reference is updated with the wormhole type information and wormhole become warpable exactly to 0m as if they have manually bookmarked it. The first time people go through the wormhole, an information about wormhole destination must be saved in the reference. Every time people warp to wromhole it's type and mass limits are updated (so that people could later look this information in the description to the reference). And yeah there should be a way to look available references for remote systems as well.

Once again I'm not asking to automatically notify and update my references when site despawns or wromhole collapses, but to automatically do it when I see these changes on my own: when I warp to the site and see it have been despawned the system should automatically "remember" this change for me.
