"Check Availability" for Corp/Alliance name/ticker

So, we have "Check Availability" on the character selection when choosing our character name, so why not have it for the Corporation/Alliance creation window too (actually don't know if the alliance window got one, never made one)?
I think that was at least my biggest issue when making my own corp, finding a good ticker that wasn't taken and suddenly you end up with a mediocre backup ticker just to see if it was available.

So a "Check Availability" button for corp/alliance creation window!

It is called search... Type a corp name you want and magically the computer searches... If you create a corp with same ticker it tells you. Test before posting might help your issues.

Is that my two cents or yours?

Alliances you can't search for... So that might be a decent idea.

I have tested, and tickers are actually pretty difficult to search for.
Agreed the name is not much of an issue, and is easy to find. The ticker, not so much.
" If you create a corp with same ticker it tells you." <- And that is exactly the issue. The only way to check a ticker without browsing through loads of corps is by pressing Submit (mainly an issue if you try to find a short ticker).

Can tickers be recycled if the Corp that used it is no longer in service?

Yep. You can disband a corp then immediately create an identical one with the same name and same ticker.
