Jukebox, ok, since I'm no longer calling any form of shot here - then I'm not going to comment on that.
Though I wouldn't mind seeing it back in some form, if I was to have a future say.

not the way it was, but a different one.
but who cares about my opinion about EVE sound anyway ;)

Define properly?
I do play on TQ :D

but yea, it would mean I could actually tell you were I am and why not to come and get me because I'd just shoot you. :D

Here to confirm you are in fact the reason why I turned sound back on. I can now run all my 12 accounts at the same time comfortably without the white noise effect of 12 ambiance soundtracks playing on top of each other.

Sorry to see you go and thanks for all your amazing updates.

Hey, the Hyperion theme rocks.
Which brings me to an incredibly important point!

Can we please have a separate ruler for Login Screen music volume? Idea

I mostly play with music volume set to 0. I mean... yeah the music is cool, but after just a few years even "Below the Asteroids" becomes sort of... repetitive... Plus it is generally not well received on TS in fleets when you play music and do not use headphones.

On the other hand:
I miss the expansion themes!
There is nothing more awesome than logging in after a release and being greeted by a brand-new login tune!
This really gives me a sense of progress happening in the game world.
I do connect certain episodes in EVE history with the expansion themes.
Also (strange as it sounds) the theme will affect the mood in which I will enter the game somewhat.
Best example was the retribution theme which immediately made me want to blow up stuff and perfectly reflected the character of the expansion with tons of beefed up T1 ships and a lot of action going on.
And when you hear the Crius theme, you know it's time for mighty industrial stuff.

That's basically why I would always want music when I'm in the Login Screen, but NOT when I am in the game. And - you might have guessed it - changing the settings all the time sucks.

I might have time to change that, before I leave.

but what do you mean by it's not well received on TS when you play music? having an open mic while playing a game and anything beyond just talk is just like asking to be beat up.!!!
but that brings me to, since it's not well received, does that mean that you stay on the login page for a long time??????

If you turn down the slider for music in the custom audio system to the right of the main sliders, the music will still play in the login screen. I listen to the theme everyday, even with game music turned down in the game.

Sorry to see you go man. Great work with the warp sounds and inactive client muting. Is this Hyperion theme yours?

Usually not really a _long_ time, but when I like the Login theme, I would likely stay a few minutes longer than technically needed to select a character. :-D
(which does not interfere with the talk on TS, but the normal music does - that's why I'd like two separate sliders)

Hum, sorry? To my experience, no matter what I do with the custom audio slider "Music General" - if the "Music Level" slider on the left is set to 0, no music will play at all.
And when I have "Music Level">0 there will always be music.
Am I using the wrong slider?

Sorry to see you go man.

You did some truely great things with Eve Audio.

such as :

- in active client muting and customisation

- Creating sounds that act as cues for gameplay

- sound customisation

- + more stuff ive forgotten

Good luck and best wishes for the future.

let me double check. could be that I'm opening up the game differently than you are. :)
You are right.. using the launcher (as you should) - the music doesn't play in the select character sceen. hmm.

I'm wondering how to solve this so fast. but I'll try.
As I'm leaving EVE Development on wednesday.

I only realized this by chance. About a week ago, I installed the client on another computer and the music was on by default. I was immediately like: oh cool, a new login theme - how could I have missed this? But I did not investigate any further.
Then yesterday, there was an announcement in the launcher: "new Hyperion theme now on soundcloud".
It was only then that I realized that there is still a different theme for each release - and that I had missed the one for Kronos entirely. Which is a pity.

That is sad to hear. But good luck for whatever you will be doing instead.
If it doesn't work out till Wednesday, could you pass this on to somebody else who might fix it?

Sad Why do the good ones always leave? Seriously. X

You've done an excellent job on the audio! I played without sound for a looong time, until you made it awesome. I wish you the best of luck, where ever you end up going. And if you see me flying around someplace.. don't shoot me! I never sent you angry rants! Lol
