You pretty much made amarr the **** race now for sure from its prior underdog position. What good is 20km when all your targets can outrun you. Not only that lasers dont hit at 0m for max damage.I read the preview on the oracle and the dps is more laughable then scary. Great job buffing one race not balancing the game. I was also looking at the new eft and seeing a brutix can get about 100 dps more then the harb now. So after it catches it and gets under 1km which will take a MW brutix about 20-30sec to close from 30km on a harb the brutix will win hands down everytime. I can recommend this to anyone one thats new in eve dont bother training amarr unless you are looking to fly amarr capitals, recons, ham legion, or amarr logi. Other then those ships training for any other amarr ships is a waste of time and you can be sure you will get your ass handed to you in any one on one fight. And if there is is some other ship class in amarr that you like trust me that the the same ship class in one of the other races will do much better then the **** your looking at. There is my opinion.

*Stares at post. Ponders if troll.*

So what you're saying is...because you booted up EFT and feel that, with its massive new bonuses, the game will now suddenly become dominated by hordes of epic Brutix's, because at 1km range they do 100 DPS more. And so Amarr suck all of a sudden. I'm reading that right am I... just so we are clear.

EDIT. God this must be a troll. Amarr... underdog? Seriously? And I must be stupid for replying to it. Sorry Internet for using up more precious server space.

Ahh trolls posting about people trolling lol.

Show me you harb vs brutix 1v1 km, pvp t2 fit brutix after the update.

And if amarr is so powerful why are they so rare on the killboards? Most of the time you see them they are the loss mails.

I bet most of you who replied about amarr not being completely underpowered dont even fly amarr ships and are just trying make sure the devs wont even take at look at the amarr race and their worthless bonus.

My challenge to the devs if they dont think amarr ships are all look and no value is this. Go take all lvl 5 skill toons and scrim all the ships 1v1 yourseleves. Tell me what happens when you scrim all the BC's and BS's. The update looks good with all the new effects and mods. As far as the amarr race goes unless your attacking PvE ships or providing long range dps to a fleet or doing PvE with them they are useless with their useless laser bonus for less damage then all the other races and only two types of damage EM and THRM. The other races besides caldari can do damage in three types. You have to blind or you are just trying to keep an unfair advantage due to the fact that you cant cheat on this game like you would on most others. And when you scrim your not allowed to fit for the ship your going to fight, you want to fly a normal pvp omni tank just like you would in a normal roam. This isnt about monkey missions spec ops stuff.

Wait, what? Lasers project damage better than any other weapon system in the game, besides missiles perhaps, which have low dps anyway. Hybrid ships are also limited to two damage types, and their T2 ammo is not nearly as awesome as lasers' T2 ammo.

Also keep in mind that amarr have seven ships with bonused missiles, and four with some combination of neut/TD/Drones, not counting the Legion, which makes a very effective missile boat.

This is the essence of your problem.

Eve is not a 1v1 game and by sighting a 1v1 example you discredit your entire 'opinion' and it just cannot be taken seriously.

Amarr is a pretty good race, however rarely sticking out means a lot of players will prefer the glory race. Minmatar has been flavour of the year so old players crosstrained and new players were advised to train minmatar.
But that doesn't mean anything. Amarr might be a little dull with an overall gank/tank theme but they do what they do really well and have many ships worthwhile your time.

And if you start a duel at 1km range the brutix derserves the kill, however I think you must be failfitting/failskilled if you can't handle yourself in a Harbinger...

As far as I knew, brutix is pretty much a hi-sec gank ship/ used for killing hulks before the po po can arrive.

I don't see them much at all in pvp other than that.

You're liable to get your ass handed to you in ANY one-on-one fight. What's more relevant is the skill of the pilots involved and whether or not one guy is too busy trying to un-brown his pants, followed by shiptypes. There are some ships that will always lose in 1v1, but if you take them into a fleet, they're terrifying.
