I find the community somewhat paranoid. As I have now obtained hands-on experience within RvB, I'm now looking for a nullsec mining job. My app got denied because of the Big Shell Incident (read here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=365403).

In this delightful thread: computer code gets worse as it gets older. It breaks down over time, like a car or something. You know, because the bits wear and tear on each other. And after a long enough time, it all just completely falls apart.

I agree with most of what the OP has to say, it is old and decrepit, stale and suffers from being a bit of an old-boys club. It also suffers from a no-fight culture, probably not helped by the artificially raised prices of in-game items over the last few years by CCP for the end goal of selling PLEX and milking their cash cow.

I can't really agree with this, eve's community thinks it's smart, but is actually on the same level as most other online game communities like WoW, WoT, Dota and LoL. Eve's community has collective delusions of grandeur that other game communities don't have, which makes it all the more sad.
