Any of my fellow capsuler seen this CCP ad?

Having that extra pilot at your disposal can often turn the tides on a difficult mission or shift a taxing task into a more efficient venture. A second account also means more places you can be at once, which makes monitoring the markets easier, gathering intel faster, and mining ops more productive.

Any one seen a disclaimer saying PLZ NOT, YOU MOST HAVE ONE CPU / ACCOUNT ?

GMs is not authorized to reimburse us, but the DEVs are.

This Cider problem is handled externally , fine, just do it FASTER, and rain PLEX on us during that time Idea

Hi Miner, if you are referring to the issue regarding quitting one client freezes the other, I have provided information in another thread on a fix using clonemaker that seems to resolve the issue in most cases. We are still looking into a more robust fix, but if you could give Clonemaker a shot I'd really appreciate it.

If you have already tried that, please let me know and we can dig deeper into the matter.

Cheers!

Hi Sledgehammer , thx for the reply.

I use "fast user switshing" and du to HD space I put the clients on separate HD.

Cloonmaker is running all clients on same user, rightQuestion

That doesn't do it for me Sad

The clonemaker allows you to run multiple accounts. They do not interfere with each other. I use the cloned clients when I mine, two Hulks and an Orca. I can quit one without the others crashing.

With your method, the issue might be the two clients have the same name. This will result in the two of them using the same application support file, and crashing into each other.

Give one client a different name.

Hi Vincent Athena, thx for input IdeaBig smile

If you missed my point, I have client on none boot drive ( the use WAY to much HD space Cry ) and I use different logins on OSX , so ONLY root knows I run 2 EvEs.

And yes they have different names, on the top lvl, aka x.app

When I need to re log an alt, I have saved the EvE that actually is running when we play, is is also an app, inside package, this way I bypass launcher, and when I select log of safely , I get a new login, and can select an alt.

So the big Q, that probably Cider is working on for CCP, must be, How doesn't Cider like 2 apps ( or more ) on same CPU running simultaneously .

regarding quitting

No I don't have that problem, just selecting other client, in my old case, switching user.

BUT, have done a new user on the Mac and used clonemaker, and after a few it looks good.

So how do I now keep al settings when big release is coming in a few hours?

I run it fine. Ultimately it doesn't matter where you store the applications at all just so long as the preference files are in a separate location.

I can't seem to get CloneMaker for some odd reason so I did it "manually" using AppleScript. Works perfectly and I don't really get a lockup although sometimes one of my clients locks up if he's been sitting a while (Orca pilot) and I have to reboot him but that has always happened.

I run multiple clients, manually cloned the Eve Online.app and pointed em to separate application support folders and locked the config file so they cant be swtiched back. Then i use links to the inner eve online.app's...

Have been doing this since the launcher came out. Have never had any problems with it nor do i think I see any multi-box client issues with upto 4 clients running.

YES, IT FINALY WORKS
I think, I have 20h + dual boxing, no problem with spontaneous hanging, BUT, I haven't tried to quit one clone and undock and jump some systems yet, that use to be a problem, but I will do. And if I don't type to you SH, then it,s working.

Lets just hope it keeps working What?, AND that next release contains a full backup built in app ( exe ) with full AND selective restore down to crazy low lvl of settings.Idea

And for world peace ( in 2nd hand ) Roll
