The appreciation is not zero. It may not be a statue in Jita, but everyone that contributed is likely eagerly awaiting the work.

Well, I *can't* ask people how to write. I try to adhere to paragraph and dialogue conventions, albeit the forums lack a way to properly do the (what's-it's-name-in-English?), there is no line justify and all in all, English is just my third language... Lol

As for my posting history, I've been campaigning for further customization since the Incarna release, as the forums tell, albeit some posts are missing. FAI, I can't find the original list of items, dated back in 2011. I've been trying to expand the possibilites of avatars since day 1, with notorious lack of success as no amount of effort can teach a horse to sing nor CCP to get their sh*t right. It's taken just two years so they apply tattoo texturing to legs to make tights, and yet they just can't meet a simple release date...

Well, everyone uses the tools he haves. I am an amateur writer, not an amateur graphics artist, and so I write words. Do images sell better? Yes. But there's no point selling when CCP is not buying.

And CCP wouldn't be buying the tights if wasn't because of all the bastards who spent worthless hundreds of pages and a million worthless words telling CCP how we actually wanted avatar content. We feeded and battled trolls through TWO threadnaughts, each one reaching hundreds of pages and thousands of posts. They still are the two biggest threads in the forums.

I wonder what would had happen if we just had assumed that we were nobody, had no exposure, and everything and almost everyone was against us... I fought that battle for two years and half, against all odds. EVE still haves the best avatars in industry doing absolutely nothing, as a testament to CCP's skills -yet we tried to avoid that.

So we can say that CCP's shortcomings won the war and we were defeated. But not without pulling a fight!

Enjoy your victory now that CCP is so desperate for money (and to justify to have hired one of EA's microtransaction experts) that they'd rather sell tights for avatars who can't show up their legs than not, even if they can't bloody meet the schedule...
