No Sound - MAC OS 10.9.4 Apogee Quartet Audio Interface

I'm running MAC OS 10.9.4 ( Mavericks) on a Mac Pro and I'm using an Apogee Quartet audio Interface - Im not able to get any sound at all from this audio interface - The only way i get sound is if i select the default internal audio which bypasses the interface - this is set up from my mac preferences as EVE doesn't allow for an audio interface to be selected from their audio menu.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Same situation here. Different audio interface (SPL Crimson, 2012 Macbook Pro Retina), but no in-game audio at all. Works fine otherwise (e.g. iTunes, DAW etc), whether I'm using proprietary drivers or plug-and-play with CoreAudio. It's just EVE that is quiet.

Didn't work in EVE on Mavericks, doesn't work on Yosemite public beta. System audio is fine on both.

Having the same problem on my Hackintosh, but with a Creative USB sound system...no audio what-so-ever in game. Audio just fine on the system as a whole. Audio works fine on my MacBook Pro using the built-in sound system.

Have the same problem.

Have Turtle beach i60 set and no sound in game. Just resubbed for this?!

Seems the client has issues with supporting more than 2 channel sound. Open Audio MIDI Setup and check if you can put it to the same channel count and internal speakers, lunch eve and set the channel count to whatever it was.

Seems the client picks up the setting only at the start time, so changing values back is alright.

Cider eve sucks so bad.. unfortunately I don't see being fixed anytime soon, if at all :)

Alright, after reporting this to CCP I was assured it is on top of their priority list, but no ETA.

Hi folks,

I checked out external audio functionality with this Cider update using an Astro Mixamp and found the client to be correctly utilising the device. This should be included with tomorrow's release, I'll keep an eye on this thread for issues coming in. I hope that it is as fixed for you as it was for me.

Was it just the audio fix that didn't make it out today, or was it the whole Cider update that didn't get released? There is no mention of the cider update in the patch notes?

It was the whole Cider update, I can confirm that it is now live on TQ as of today. I can also confirm that I am listening to some wormhole ambiance through an Astro Mixamp external card.

I can also confirm that sound using my Creative External card is working again Big smile
