Earlier this week there was some discussion in the Summit GalNet channel about the continued fight against heathen interlopers in the region bordering our homeworlds. There was talk of noteworthy victories between capsuleers, victories claimed in the name of God. However, one prominent member of a respected institution said something (and I paraphrase, as the logs are currently unavailable due to a hardware upgrade) which has troubled me and given me cause to spend time in prayer and contemplation of the effects this bloodletting is having on our faith:

"God favored me, this time."

I want to address this type of speech as an auxiliary act of ministry to those pilots currently at war.

God favors the faithful.

Whether the remark in question was the voice of the individual's faltering faith, or a flippant comment not intended as a testament to the manifestation of God's Will, or whether it was meant as mockery of those who casually defy the insurmountable nature of His Holy Light, this type of speech is misleading and dangerous. Not so for the faithful, such as the pilot who spoke the words, whom I understand to be a just and right believer, but for the faithless yet to be redeemed. As we continue God's task of Reclaiming, what are those who bear witness to Salvation to make of such public comments, still in their ignorance? Are they to be lead to believe that God's blessings upon the Chosen are a matter of chance or sport? No, such speaking teaches those who would be redeemed a false faith, and hinders our work to Reclaim God's children. Therefore, we must strive to guard against this misuse of our agency as the Chosen of God.

I believe this sort of talk within the ranks of the Militia-affiliated pilots to be the influence of the Godless patrons of  CONCORD, and the faithless mercenaries such men attract. So, I urge you faithful pilots of the militia: vest yourselves in God's Holy Light, accept his task for you, and through the constancy of your acceptance, reveal the unwavering glory of His Chosen for all to behold. For no matter the outcome of battle, the Almighty's test for you, for us all, is a matter of faith, and that faith is the only measure of our imprimatur before God.

Humbly, your sister in devotion,

Q. M.

So, sorry, did you actually not want Mercenary help on the front, again?

Naw, she's fine with godless mercs. She's just recommending everyone else to stick their fingers in their ears and hum real loud whenever you heathens are around.

Edit because my wordlings are disobedient.

Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

The executors of the corporations and alliances that take part in militia actions will determine whether their operations in the field, as well as their public conduct, are in observance of God's Word and for the purpose of the Reclaiming of God's children.

What I want is for them to rely on their faith to make that determination, and nothing else.

Actually, I am rather fickle with my blessings.

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.

Someone in university for 5 months is telling us how to fight a war--great.

Faith alone won't do anything. Besides make your knees hurt from all that praying.

Can't argue with that, actually. I do something very similar regarding things I do and The Way.

The way it is currently being fought is not something to be proud of, either.

Speaking as the Chairwoman and CEO of one such company, my business isn't based on Reclaiming for God but in Asset Realization and Military Contracting. Due to the nature of such hazardous work I often find my faith better placed in high-explosive ordnance than in religion.

In the end, Business is War and War is Business.

As someone who fights against the Empire's enemies, you should know that I'm speaking to the faithful on spiritual matters, not strategic decisions.

I am aware that the Caldari conduct their affairs differently.

I have always been glad that there exists an mutual understanding and respect for our differing culture, just as there exists the grounds for mutual advantage between Caldari and Amarr.

I am continually confused as to why I have been rebuffed every time I offered my organisation's services to aid the 24IC.

The 24th Imperial Crusade will see some extra support as Lady Lunarisse Aspenstar organized an auction to support them financially.

Hereby a published report on this Auction: Amarr Militia Auction is a success!

So it seems that Quinn Mansa's prayer for faithful assistance has been heared.
