Burner fits

I know a bunch of you are excited about doing burner missions. My question is how will you fit out your assault and/or faction fit to do these missions. For starters I will be using both arty and ac wolfs depending on what frig I'll be up against. Wolf has a good low end for tank and or damage mods. As I have 2 accts I'll be using wolfs with both of them. Not that familiar with the other Af's so will be curious to read what you will be using.

First we will need to see them, and figure out what to do. they will probably all have tactics that will make them easy, but if you follow the wrong path their stats will be truly OP.

If the bitching about the worm is valid it would seem to be the most likely choice.

The worm is going to be a likely choice. Once they hit sisi we will know more. Personally I'd like to see the balance somewhere between "der space pirate frig -to solo" and "a pair of T2 AFs". Ideally I would really love to see this new mission as a means to craft new group play missions and move away from the ideal that L4s are for solo blitzing.

the good, or bad news depending on outlook, is these aren't to me being op in AT so I see no nerf pending. Comps with worms aren't stomping peoples asses in matches as far as I have seen so it may not get that rather convenient rerebalance pass domi got right after a prior AT. I know some will say where is the tinfoil hat...it was just real coincidental on the timing of the domi rerebalance. I tend to not like coincidences, but have been wrong here before lol.

Ha! I just looked at the worm in eft for the first time since the change... Probably be my go to for these missions.

afaik a scram won't do anything.

The devs have stated the scram will work on the burner rats. As in, burner rats with MWD will have their microwarpdrive shut off if you can hit them with your scram.

I have my reservations about worm being "the thing". The drone hp bonus is nice on them, however, with the new rats having a beefed up sleeper AI they will, most likely, go after your drones the second you put them out and the lights do not have all that much hp even with the worm bonuses.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

then use navy drones and laugh like a maniac since they get ridiculous passive recharge (also smaller, orbits like a maniac, packs a punch).

Think faction hobgoblins are good enough? They're armor tanked and not shield tanked, so faction hornets have the much better shield recharge in exchange for less DPS.

Personally I think that very mildly blinged AF with the appropriate T2 resist profile will probably be sufficient. So an Amarr AF for the Angel burner, a Minmatar AF for the Sansha burner, ect...

I'd probably go with an Hawk with specific resist profile, massive tankj, mwd sig reduction, no worrying about tracking, no worrying about drones being shot down, no worrying about tracking disruption if the rats will have any

Daredevil or Catalyst.

DPS is, and always will be, the best way to deal with PVE.

I'm going to use a Retribution for Minmatar burner missions since it already got 80% resistance towards explosive I can fit more damage.

Rotate your drones and quit wanting everything to be "turn on modules and wait for fight to end"

t2 resists, and overwhelming DPS seem like winning strategies.

doing a sisi install now, can't wait to try these things!
