Last night:
First I was able to connect and play for few hours. Then I got message "Socket closed". Then I tried to connect again and could not. I waited for about 15 mins. And was able to connect again for 5 mins. Then I got message "Socket closed" again and could not reconnect whole night.

This morning same ****. Got in for 5 mins and got disconnected, can't reconnect.

Their IPS (Intrusion prevention system) or some other hardware thinks that I am involved in DDOS attack and bans my IP. WTF? I am in rage mode right now.

I saw DDOS attack against Blizzard, Activision, EA games, and other game producers servers and they solve this problem much more efficient. Diablo 3 has no subscription fee and game has 1000 times better technical support.
Why this is not fixed already? Why CCP thinks it is ok that we cant play the game we payed for? Why they think stealing from us is OK?

It's just so damn frustrating. I've been gone from eve for a bit, and I am just now reminded how bad the Customer Service is lol

Been playing for about 2 weeks and maybe it's just my login times, but gotta say, so far really not impressed with the stability of EVE.

Is this a regular occurrence?

Seems I've got about a 1/3 chance of not being able to connect to servers each night. Really regretting buying sub straight up..

If this goes on much longer, will those of us in space be docked at the nearest base?

Well, looks like I get about 2 hours of play time after resubscribing before the servers go down.

Oh well, try again tomorrow I guess.

I am having this issue as well.

On the bottom it says "Unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000." I was on EVE all morning, got disconnected and ever since, I cannot connect.

I tried to repair EVE but that did not work.

I am in New York as well.

I get the exact same error. Same IP, same port number.

Yet again, I cannot connect, like last night.

CCP could you at least have the decency to communicate about the connecting problem !
Last night the launcher was out of service, I manage to have a connecton this morning and now again, "the odd is the client cannot find the server""

We are customers, and we pay for a service that have a lot of disfunction recently.... not talking about the change in industry that is not satisfying either.

I would have to agree, would feel better to have someone from the CCP camp let us in on what is currently going on.

Honestly, that's all it would take. Just have someone that can jump on these forums whenever there is a problem and let us know what's going on, how long do they expect it to take to fix. Would really go a long way towards removing the friction between ccp and it's customers

The easy way to do this CCP is this:

You forcefully disconnect all from game.
You block the Eve Luncher so no one can connect using regular methods.
Then you see on the firewall who is still connected / trying to connect. You block connection from this IP only.
Only Few will be blockeed that did not have to be, beacuse I dont think many people are trying to ping / tracert the server.

According to http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility, Tranquility itself is completely offline and no one is connecting.

Ah, yes. In reading around, it appears there is a group out there that is organizing DDoS (Directed Denial of Service attacks) against several online game servers including EVE Online as well as Blizzard's World of Warcraft servers. There are other games being affected as well.

I do hope the companies are organizing and working with authorities to take these punks down. And take them down hard.

Can't get to any of the eve domains from NZ, had to connect via VPN to connect to eve or get on the website.
