Oh it will, it's just a matter of how much of what's promised is delivered, and how well it functions. They've got enough to "release" it now. I've seen worse put up for sale on Steam.

If they don't deliver on most of their promises when they launch (and they won't, if they ever launch) then their pay-to-win followers will scream bloody murder and immediately withdraw their support for the game. It's pretty much going to be either vaporware, or DOA at this point.

I don't even know what incentive Chris Roberts has to deliver anything but promises, since that's essentially what he gets paid for.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise
