Where to get my pew on?

It's been a while but I'm back in eve (New bought toon) and I want to get my pew on again.

There has been a fair bit changed since I was gone so I have been catching up on some of them but one thing that I need to find out is hotbeds of pvp activity.....and I can only really do that from in game or asking here for people thoughts and ideas.

My question is simple. In this TZ (AU - 1-2 hours either side of DT) where are the flashpoints for pvp?

High sec being the most populous do it give up decent level of pvp?

Lowsec outside of FW used to be pretty dead. Is that still the case?

Nullsec?! From a lot of stuff I've been reading indicates that null is pretty dire atm. NPC null used to be pretty good for pvp. How about nowadays?

Generally I like to fight and know that my knowledge/skill has won the fight, not relying on big numbers or over shipping etc so that probably puts high sec pvp out. But low/null?

Cheers for your thoughts guys and gals and I hope to see you locked up in my sight soon o7

FW Low is probably your best, high sec PVP is awful so don't even bother.

Null is fun sometimes, most of your kills are going to be nipping off tackle and such from gangs more than likely, but its fun.

PvP can be found anywhere in the game.

Some Null fangurls will tell you that high sec sucks.

Some HS carebears will tell you that Null is empty and ****.

Good and bad PvP can be found anywhere. Mostly bad. But it is there nonetheless.

Edit: ****, I'm in RVB, forgot I just joined them again. I almost feel embarrassed posting this while being in RVB. Ugh

Looks like my first thoughts are being back up here.

Low sec/null roaming for me.

Not into ganking so much as I like the fight and not a fan of suiciding ships to kill someone who probably won't understand the reason why or just go cry to mommy.

Now to find a chilled out casual, 'no F'ks given' pvp corp CoolTwisted

My advice would be to hold off on joining a corp and just look to make friends and find some people you think are cool and know what they are doing. You can do that by joining a corp but it's up to you.

"No f'ks given" is a great policy, casual playtimes are great as well, but if you want PvP, you need to add a little bit of "hardcore" to the mix. imo

Like others have said, LS FW is ripe for pvp opportunities. And elaborating a little bit on what Ares said, get to know people first before committing to a corp. Some LS corps will let you fly with them for a some time. Think of that as a trial period.

Yeah that's my plan. Go fly around and see what trouble I can stir up. I used to fly solo in my previous EVE life (eve had my own single toon corp) but I made a fair number of friends just doing that so I never had to look ofr long if I wanted in some small gang/fleet action.

I'll start hanging around my target areas of operation and get to know the locals in my TZ and see what happens. I'm also going to look up some of my old friends and see who's still around.

If you want to get into PVP. Red vs Blue and Faction Warfare are a good place to start. People in both are generally willing to help you get started and show you the "ropes" to what you need to know. If/When you want to start using battleships and capitals you will want to go to a nullsec/lowsec alliance outside of FW. Not necessarily a large one like the Goons or NCDawt but places like Rote Kapelle, Shadow Cartel, Snuff Box, Tuskers, Rooks and Kings amongst others. Alliances like those look at your kill board, fits and such. They want to make sure they are recruiting a competent pilot that knows how to fit their ships and fly them.

Edit: I use to also suggest Eve-University as well but, lately they have been more teaching nullsec tactics of 50+ or we aren't undocking. That is not the kind of atmosphere you want when PVPing, at least starting out.

Not necessarily old friends, but if you are looking for AU TZ players to roam with in low/null let me know (see details in sig).

We'll be running a fleet out of Stacmon post-DT today if interested. Not likely to be a full fleet due to AT this weekend, but we'll still have guys going.
