It's great to hear so many are against the idea.

I have yet to hear why it's a bad idea.

Is it too much to handle for renters? Would it be abused by Freighters? WOuld Goons use it to take more SOV, or would they lose more? Would no content be added? Would it make you get off of your alts and do something on your main?

The not being in prime spot for fleet is a control for uber fleet projections. Sometimes pvp, especially in 0.0, breaks down to one side moving forces faster than the other. Or bringing in mercs to make it interesting.

Example: IT-NC war (I was in IT)

We were storming the gates of PB and such. NC at some point hired PL to hit our garrison. End result, IT leadership started to deal with controlled jc ops. Some protect garrison for the night in jc ops, some stayed in PB to keep holdings there, push if possible. We couldn't be everywhere at once. This would what some call strategy. Make opponent (over)extend their forces and see what breaks down. Not much but it does make it more than just hot drop press f1.


It at least adds the okay...where do we hot drop press f1? Also forces priorties...is the system that vital enough to burn a JC for most players? Or worst case...is it vital enough to ask for volunteers to blood clone op it. For a good fight I have blood cloned. But that was back in the days I was much lower sp. Think 20-30ish mil. I am 100+mil now....better be a damn good cause for me to blood clone these days lol.

You can teleport already, with limitations. Jumpclones leaves you with just the supplies stationed where it is, bridges are limited in range and require someone to secure the destination either by Cyno or the Pos structure.

Bridging would be one reason why your idea is not a good one. While some would see any chaos inducing factor in null sec as a good thing, I would view it as a slap in the face for those that work to keep their space safe to just allow anyone to teleport anywhere. As it is you can crash gates or navigate wormholes to get past blockading gate camps, and that seems a fair and just amount of effort to counter the effort of holding the space.

If you are just out to see the universe, grab an interceptor, fit it with a prototype cloak, scanner, PB&J sandwich, whatever... and blow on through.

If you wanna PVP in enemy space go and move your ass there by yourself. Don´t cry for a teleport because your got caught by some gatecamps on the way. There is also no logical point in that idea.

But you wanna reasons here the come:

- No logical lore thing
- is alread implemented in a different sort calls themselves Wormholes.
- Way to unbalanced seems you want a teleport system for freekills in 0.0 mining systems.


Bad ideas are simply bad.

In what way would this idea contribute to the current content of EVE? What is it you have experienced during your time in eve that makes you want to have an instant teleportation with ship and everything.

To me it sounds to me that you want every ship to have a jump drive, which in truth is insane.

because it's sneaky instant gratification.

That's enough reason already.

We, as in the big majority of players, do not want or need that.

This game needs less instant travel not more.

Some specific reasons why this proposal is not good:

Cyno alts in position within seconds.

Instant positioning of scouts.

Transport of large volumes of high value goods anywhere in EvE with even less risk and effort than a JF.

Instant deployment of any type of fleet to anywhere.

Not supported.

The problem with this, is that someone can transport extremely high valued targets/ships, ectra anywhere in the universe, once a week, with no risk? I think this is why everyone is pointing out that this idea might not be a... Good idea.
