Meh. Amongst all the avatar lust threads in OOPE, there are several threads discussing other games (even potential competitors to EvE such as Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen). It's allowed there under the forum rules (Rule 5 of OOPE).

The only thing wrong with this thread is it's location. GD is for EvE related discussion.

Well crafting is horrible so if they do a major overhaul I might play it.

Agreed, been in alpha a few weeks now (gifted to me) and its not terrible but the system isnt very user friendly and is kinda a pain :P

I might give ArchAge a whirl but I want to know how the grind is because all Asian MMOs are grindtastic.

I have not really grinded much, I always get distracted and try to yarrr it up on my boat and get killed by jelly fish or something silly like that. Was testing the crafting system and went up 10 levels in a day or so just fooling around. Only others I have played are Diablo, Star wars, and rift. I didn't make it more than a few days in any of those games. ArcheAge manages to keep my attention. The drop rates on some things are a bit skew in alpha so I can not really say how it will be in launch.

A friend of mine pointed me at it last night. I checked out the info about it and I am interested. If set in a fantasy type realm with the hardcore nature of Eve then I don't see anything that would be a red flag against me playing it. Other than free time supply lol.
