Issues with bookmarks

1. Moving bookmarks out of a folder.
Say you have 400 bookmarks in a folder, and in the middle of the folder is a bookmark you want to move out of the folder. You obviously can´t drag it to any other folder because you can´t even see them. It used to be possible to drag the bookmark in the same folder, which would move it to the parent folder. You can still make a ´physical´ copy of the bookmark and then drag it back to your People & Places, but usability is still severely affected by this.

2. Moving corporation bookmarks
Currently on Tranquility it is possible for any corp member to move any bookmarks between folders without any roles. It is also possible for any member of the corporation to create folders. While the latter is not exactly a bug, i think creating folders should be reserved to people with the communications officer role.

3. Corporation bookmark folders
It is my understanding that tying bookmark folders to certain roles is being worked on, and that´s fine. But i would also like to be able to personally hide certain corporation and personal folders of bookmarks from appearing in the right click menu in space.

4. Bookmark folder arrangement
As for the arrangement of the three essential bookmark groups: personal, corporation and agent, it seems completely arbitrary and is a major hindrance at times. Out of the three groups, personal is the most used by the individual, whereas the agent missions folder is barely touched inside the People & Places and all of the interaction with said bookmarks happens via the right click menu in space. Therefore when you create a personal bookmark it appears between folders, namely your last personal folder, and the main corporation folder instead of neatly at the bottom of the list like it used to. So it is my opinion that the agent missions folder should be located at the top with the corporation and personal folders below it respectively.

1) Double-click a bookmark folder header. The folder opens in a separate window. You can drag bookmarks from/to there.

2-4) Agreed.

I'd also add that the folders in the right-click menu in space used to be sorted alphabetically. Now they're sorted according to some arbitrary order. It is really annoying, I am used to the way my folders used to be organized, and often misclick.

1. You can also right click on the bookmark, edit, change the folder it's in from the dropdown, save. I find that method easiest.

Yes you're both right. The first way pointed out i simply did not think of, and the second one was added in Crucible and was new to me.

However the three other points i made are still valid.

Corporate bookmarks and the folder for them is fine.

Personal bookmarks need to be back in the right-click-in-space menu the way they were. When you right-click to warp to a bookmark you shouldn't be forced to dig through subfolders to find the right one... not when combat probes appear on dscan and you're having an "Oh ****" moment in your wormhole. Forcing personal bookmarks into a folder was a really, REALLY bad idea that obviously had little to no thought go into the possible consequences of doing so.

1. I wish it was just possible to select one or several bookmarks, right click and choose an option to move to the specified folder. This is faster than opening a new window every time and faster than moving all bookmars one by one.

2, 3, 4. Agree.

More bookmark desires:
5. There should be a separate role for people who can add corporate bookmarks.

6. There shold be a way to arrange bookmarks in an arbitrary order via drag and drop. In addition to 3, there should be a way to mark each bookmark as "hidden in the right click menu".

7. Make a small popup with the bookmark description when you hover the mouse over it in People and Places or in your cargohold.

8. Remove the modality from bookmark edit properties window. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

9. Consider an option to add bookmarks as objects in overview.

9.1. Make it possible to turn on bookmarks brackets.

The following is an offtopic but since I remembered about it, I'll just post:
10.* Make it possible to open several overview windows with separate settings.
11.* Make it possible to choose dscan settings separate from overview settings (from a dropdown list).
12.* Make it possible to drag and drop notes to your cargohold, put them into containers and otherwise operate with them as with other game objects. Make it possible to do the same thing with fits.
