Having flown both extensively, you're wrong. The Sleipnir is an underrated PvE ship and it kicks the **** out of a Loki in L4s, but it can't compete with a Mach due to range issues on medium ACs (and arties, for that matter). In a Mach, you simply have a much, much larger engagement envelope, which means you can start applying damage faster. Add in the fact that the Mach is also faster and more agile and the competition is over. A Sleipnir boasts a better tank, but that's a secondary concern when you're effectively nuking all opposition from 65km down to optimal (and you get to choose your range).
