ok everyone cheers for the replies and advice, now got my shopping to do :)

1 last question if for example while doing worlds collide i activated the bastion module at the warp in point would i aggro both side's of rats?

the medium booster is perfect as you can just leave it running and if you do DC you will very likely be alive when you come back, An XL booster and you will either have it off and thus have no tank, or on and you cap out, but either way you probably come back dead.

My golem has missile velocity rigs from back in the day where torp fits were standard, and I don't really feel like ripping out t2 rigs. but they have a huge bonus of making it so your missiles go very fast and you don't have to count volleys out to 100km or so. maybe it is worth dropping a painter for a sensor booster or prop mod, maybe not, I don't have a missile spreadsheet.

the only other option I'd consider would be adding in a t2 rof rig and droping a BCU for a damage control, and that is really only if you are paranoid about gankers. You gain a few dps, but lose a bit of volley damage.

VS torps, well maybe worth having torps in station or with mobile depot, but Javs suck, and rage are a bit limited. Perfect for structure bashing, and perhaps a few missions, but I wouldn't use them too much I don't think.

As for those suggusting torp Golem... A few years ago I would have laughed if you suggusted a cruise missile Golem but today it's the best choice IMO. The only time torps have an advantage is within 31 km using rage torps. Even then it's debatable as to how much of that "more DPS" is actually applied. Past 31 km cruise missiles do more DPS.

Replace one of the salvagers with a tractor beam so you don't have to wait for your ******** MTU to bring your Mission objective item, also replace one of the BCU II's with another Faction BCU.

The Golem is the Cadillac of mission running. Everything works so well you don't even have to put any effort into it. Sometimes I'll MJD straight into the heart of the Red Cross just to feel like I might have a chance at losing it.

My exact fit is G-14 Classified, but this is the general idea:

4x Cruise II; Probes; Tractor; Bastion; Whatever else you like (I salvage with drones, less hassle)
PWNAGE x2; MJD; 3 slot tank; Whatever you want (I tend to put something for pvp here)
DCS; BCU II x3

Rigor II; Flare II

Golem is one of those ships you can fit for pvp and still mission without much loss of efficacy.

please for now ignore the t1 ammo, I have quite alot of this lying round so just using that up, also ignore the t1 rigs these were in my hanger so i put them to use till i build up my isk then they will be upgraded to t2. i also used the LMJD so i could keep a good distance away, the golem is quite a slow boat. i have a targeting range of 114km and a missile flight range of 222km. popping frigates is really easy in fact almost boring :)

i bought a large shield booster, but also had a medium one in my hanger so am using that for now purely for cap purpose's. have been out doing lvl 4's world's collide popped up last night this was very easy and all of the other lvl4 missions so far have been a breeze. The only thing that does not work well is the bloody MTU 1 wreck at a time is quite sad, maybe that will improve in an update or something.

For now its time to replenish my isk.

I don't see the MTU getting more than one tractor beam anytime soon. If they made it too good then no one would use the Noctis. Honestly I don't even bother with mission loot since I would rather be spending time getting more ISK and LP from another mission. I have one T2 tractor beam on my Golem just to pull in mission items.

1 more thing i need to address is Implants i am currently flying this with a clone, which has no implants, so are there any particular implants i should be looking at to compliment the golem and the cruise missiles?.

As far as implants I listed the CA-1 as the only one on my fit, you need that for the vamp. If you're not running a vamp no problem. I prefer rapid launch, sig radius, and CM bonus.

Another thing to note is that applying one target painter, a web, and 5 drones to frigates, while applying 1 tp and fury missiles to BC's and BS's is the faster than wasting missiles on frigs. Zero volleys is always a faster kill time than 1 or 2.

And the always running pith c medium method is only supplying a 464 omnitank. The fit I listed is 1719 omnitank (overkill i know) but 595 sustainable. So your chances for survival are better after a DC with the gist XL. If you DC with TP's and and salvagers running your sustainable tank drops to around 300 with the medium booster, and around 450 with the XL fit. With the vamp running its around 900 sustainable.

Well if you want one that isnt going to die to anything other than alpha that is then go with that fit, Honestly just fit for DPS with really good tank, a target painter and the appropriate drones and youll be fine.

I LOL'd... Not overtanked in the slightest and you can't beat 521 DPS on a Golem...

I'm really, really confused as to why you're using rigs that increase missile range with cruise missiles on a ship that can already fling cruise missiles to 200km...

Same here. I only have one tractor beam on my Golem and it's for the mission item. Loot in some missions is worth it but others it's just a waste of time. I would rather concentrate on getting the mission done and on to the next one.

Also it's against the solo nature of the carebear but let a low skill pilot in your corp loot and salvage. Take a cut of what he gets if you like. This way he's making ISK and being part of the team.

Edit: I also do the Dominix MJD thing when I'm bored. Even with max drone skills it's slower than a marauder.
