EVE RADIO COMBAT LEAGUE - SERIES III

Series Two of the Eve Radio Combat League concluded with our biggest week yet on June 30th. Over 12 BILLION ISK was given away on that week alone, bringing our total winnings last series to over 20 BILLION ISK!

Aside from the massive winnings, the major story was the dominance of one pilot name Mister Soldier, who won three of the tournament's four rounds and ran away with the overall victory by a whopping 20 points in the standings.

Series III of the Eve Radio Combat League begins next Tuesday at 0100gmt (Monday at 9pm EST) as part of my show HARSH GENERATION on Eve Radio, which begins at 0000gmt. The rules for the tournament are below.

1.) All fighters MUST be running the weeks prerequisite ships. Anyone caught without one will be disqualified. ECM AND CLOAKING IS BANNED FROM ALL EVENTS

2.) The position of the DJ will be the center of the arena. Once fighters are aggressed and within 20km of the DJ, we shall begin. The arena boundary is 40km from the DJ. Any passage past this boundary results in instant disqualification.

3.) Fight is a modular bracket format. Bracket adjusts for 4 through 16 fighters.

LEAGUE FORMAT:

- 16 week league comprised of 4 rounds, one in each empire space with 4 week rounds

- After each fight, the winner receives a point toward their standings for each kill, and the overall winner receives two additional points, plus 75% of the week's pot. The other 25% goes to the round pot. Warping off will lose you a point, and the winner will still receive a point, but all bonuses will be voided.

- After 4 weeks, the pilot with the most points wins the round's pot!

- The champ after 16 weeks wins 1bil ISK and a PLEX!


To make things even MORE exciting, we are overhauling the scoring system. Say hello to Bonuses and Killstreaks!

UNDERDOG BONUS - Just getting started? Missed a few weeks? Down on your luck? If you are in 6th place or lower, and you land a kill on someone in the Top 5, you receive 3 POINTS for the kill! Land a kill on a Top 5 competitor to win the Week for a total of 5 POINTS on top of your other winnings!

ONSLAUGHT BOUNS - If you have a knack for quick kills, this is the bonus for you. Get a kill in the first 60 seconds of a battle and receive an additional point!

KILLSTREAKS - No, they don't make your ship more powerful, but they will be instrumental in securing your place in the standings. Win 5 battles in a row to activate this bonus. Every kill you land in a row after the fifth is worth two points, and rolls over week after week. This can help you pull away from the pack, but watch your back!

KINGSLAYER BONUS - Once a pilot activates his or her Killstreak, every kill they land thereafter adds a point to that pilot's Kingslayer Bonus. If that pilot is killed, the pilot with the final blow gets the accumulated Kingslayer Bonus, which can lead to a MASSIVE jump in the standings!

Hey everybody!

Just a quick update after a wild first round of fighting. TONS of records and first time events took place in the first four weeks of the season, where we gave out a total of 3.5 Billion ISK!

- First ever back-to-back ringout victories

- First ever draw, between two former champions no less

- First ever Venture vs Venture battle

- More points-earning pilots in a single round than ever!
