Theories about CODE match

Hi Eve,

I heard that the CODE team threw the match today because RvB paid them off for what is essentially a bye into the second round. I didn't think this kind of thing was allowed, but they apparently made billions to essentially stand aside and do nothing. Now, CODE gankers are pretty lame, but should this kind of match rigging be allowed by either side of this match?

Has anyone else heard anything about why they forfeited the match?

Well if true, I would expect CCP will take appropriate action against both Alliances if they find out.

Otherwise, rumours are a bit silly.

Like any competition money can change the outcome. Now with an honest group of Goonswarm alts like CODE I find it very hard to believe. Does anyone have a link to the video of the match?

Both RVB and CODE should be banned form the next AT if they are willing to do this kind of thing to advance the interests of some teams ahead of everyone else.

It is supposed to be about fair competition, not who has the biggest wallet. It isn't worth watching if the outcome is rigged. :/

You say this like you are sure that's what happened. I have been insulted for "making theories" with no evidence of what actually happened, but what makes you so sure that this is realy what happened in the AT match? What motive other than profit even exists in this game?
