Only if you have no other clones prepared. You're minimally guaranteed that you won't remember anything that happened since your last awakening, but a careful reading of the lore suggests that killing one clone won't necessarily end you.

I'm sure by now every one has told you why nothing more will ever be devloped for the avatar system other than flair.
What they dont say directly is that the player base is to blame once again.

See the Chronicle about Operation Highlander there's an implication that some capsuleers get whacked but then show up again.

Nevermind the entire Clone Soldier concept...

Those eve sounds that can be downloaded on eve-files... one of them is a zip that includes a lot of casino-type sounds that were (apparently) meant for WiS.

an ISK sink in the form of gambling is one thing people don't often mention in these discussions. It wasn't all barbie--if CCP meant to be the house, there would have been some economic impact in the form of casinos.

I wasn't active in the community back then, and I was also deployed to Iraq that summer. subbed, but unable to play, and OK with it... my characters were one of the main things I looked forward to, and kept me going. that whole "thing" happened in my absence, I was unaware of it, and there was nothing I could do about it.

I wish what happened... hadn't.

It makes sense to me, that something new isn't necessarily liked or desired by people who weren't attracted by it (when WiS didn't exist, that includes everyone). but I strongly disagree with how it was handled. I also disagree with players who still carry those events as a badge of pride.

the way players reacted was acidic, to say the least. maybe as the years pass and players get older, they will realize their mistake and what they did was childish.

It wouldn't be that hard!

All CCP have to do is come up with a Doom/Quake like engine (they're already porting Dust to PC aren't they?), which would then enable combat inside a station, ship, or whatever structure. Think about all the new content!

I like how you embedded a very dubious comment in there.

Most of the miners have not left the game.
