Car Show

So I used to go to car shows every so often and check out the restored classics and the new models being shown off by the car companies. It's been a while since I've been to see a good one though and the thought occurred to me that I could just look up some pictures of cool cars online and it would be kind of the same. Problem was, I kept looking up cars I'd seen a hundred times already, which was great but hardly new or exciting. So, in here I'll start off with some pics of cars that have stuck with me recently and over the years. If you like cars at all, or if you just happen to do a google search and find something that makes you say "hey, that's cool", then post some pics of cars that have made an impression on you too. It can be any kind of car and replicas are certainly allowed.

Exige S
Commando 750 (though I prefer the 850)
Roadster Sport (look familiar?)
Miata Hardtop
IS300 (I don't like the newer redesign)
Semi-classic Camaro (I'm also a fan of the battleship design of the 90s, but I definitely don't like the newer redesign)

Morgan 4 Seater - This would be my dream daily driver. All other "super cars" are pleb cars.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon - The only pleb car worth plebbing about in. You can pleb to Wallmart, then pleb to the top of the mountain Big smile

I love the NSX. Driving/having one is on my bucket list, together with the Nissan 240/260/280, 300zx and the GT-R, the Pagani Huayra, and, I kid you not, the Porsche 944 S2, still one of the better handling Porsches (and FR's) ever made.

I don't really care about if it's JDM or EDM or USDM tbh, but I do have a weak spot for JDMs, mostly because of reliability, altho I don't hate the rest (xcept VAG, altho that's mostly because the owners can be even more nauseating than any bimmer owner)

But yes, while true that I do drive a '92 accord EX-R, I do it mostly because it's a car that it's easy to repair, if it ever needs anything to repair.
Honda's F engine blocks are basically bullet proof, even more than the D-seriesCool

sorry, but while Maserati is good and there are a great number of Zagato cars from other brands out there that are also legendary, there is only one Zagato to me and it's those with the AstonMartin badge in 'em.

That Renovo, seems like a mix between an E-type and a 240Z. looks awesome either way.

and the Ariel Atom, is basically the car you should get if you like to ride low and dirty at high speedCool

the new company uses modified Shelby American CSX9000 rolling chassis as its starting point

I don't know a lot about cars, tbh, but I did like the looks of those:

I always been impressed by Subaru cars, and now I'm a happy owner of a BRZ (even though I wanted an Impreza but RWD kicks ass tbh).

Always nice to see and read about new and old cars. That BRZ looks like it was a great pickup.

I tried to mix things up and get some pictures of rainbows and ponies but somehow they ended up being of cars instead:

1968 Mini Cooper Mark II

Pontiac Grand Prix First Generation

Volkswagen R32

Foose Hemisfear

Honda HSV-010 GT

Lancia 037

Mazda RX-8

Ford GT40

Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro

If you're in Atlanta, you may want to check out the High museum's Dream Cars exhibit. Click on the images and read the text. There were some interesting ideas and concepts that you wouldn't expect for "old" cars.

Ex: The 1956 Centurion had a rear view TV (note the lack of a rear view mirror.) There's a "jet car" that had a gas turbine for an engine. However, the noise, heat (1,000 degrees F exhaust) and fuel consumption demonstrated the impracticality of gas turbines for cars.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.
