OP, do you need those goggles because your eyes got too sensitive from too much exposure to bright light of mining lazorz?

... and the whole story ends in a player policed state.

A police state.

With abusive people on every important gate and gank squads ready within minutes.
With people who have no qualification to play authority,
and them turning into even bigger assholes than we have now.

Assholes dictating whatever they want in the name of the code ...
... tightening laws more and more.

First it was miners. (actual first were the autopiloters but who cares about accuracy right...)
Next are ganker's scanning frigates at gates.
Eventually there will no more sitting at gates either.
No sitting safe at station undocks.

Tornados will just alpha you away.

Players will be required to have hauling permits ...
... mining permits ...
... mission running permits .....

By that time all the new players will have accepted the code for granted ...
... because it will be spread out constantly ...
... in all the highsec systems ...
... every day ...
... every hour.

Once the critical mass is reached ...
... and enough new players obey the code ...
... then all the propaganda, lies and hypocrisy will be accepted as norm and truth.

Police state....

Woohoo!

And why? Because the "good" people are really bad at being "good" ...
... and only care about themselves ...
... while the "bad" people keep doing what they are doing best.

You screwheads really have gone off the deep end.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

But I guess sand mixed with sh!t makes more stable castles.

When did GD turn into a website / blog promotion forum ? That's about the 3rd in as many days now. Ugh

Are people that desperate for hits on their own sites that they can't just type and post their views here on the forums anymore ?

I don't really understand why people would be worried about a police state. Wouldn't that just give you something to fight against in game? Like, isn't the potential for conflict a major draw of the eve universe? I'm pretty new so maybe I'm missing the point, but I think this is pretty exciting. It's cool that what they're doing is even possible, and it's cool that it's left up to the players to accept what's happening or fight back.

Then again, I've only netted maybe three months of play time, so I'll admit that I may be seeing an ideal where one doesn't exist.

This is probably a stupid question, but why does an "update" require another personal blog to spawn? What makes this website any better than the original one? Will there be a new blog created for every thing that CODE. does?

Will everyone in that alliance have a blog?

You know, you could just update the original website.

You can't beat a police state that controls every new generation of new players,
with old players who knew how it was before continually leaving, like they always do.

This is about the part where enough new players know the code ...
... and critical mass is achieved to push it into the collective consiousness.

The only way to fight a police state is by not letting it happen.

And you need to consider that artificially created opposition
is a means of controlling what's going on.

See anti-"ganking", which isn't about ganking at all, but about code only.

Excellent website and a well recommended read!

There are hordes of new subscribers who are even now wandering this forum for the first time.

Threads like these give them a fair shake, a chance living life in highsec without getting ganked for not having a permit.

Quite selfish of some of you, really. Its like you want new players to get ganked or something. Do you benefit from their ignorance?

Sickens me, it does.

CODE is ganking the competition for their main's miner and missionrunner characters.

CCP will buckle at some stage. Create an agressionfree high-sec for all n00bs.

By upping their activity, they're simply speeding up this process.

After that change, they will be able to mine and run lvl4 missions in absolute peace.

CODE is the ultimate carebear initiative.

Never got ganked for not having a permit to do anything. Strange thing, I must have been most lucky newbie in the universe :)

I read this drivel until the vomit reflex threatened to overcome me.

My reaction to this self-congratulatory and tendentious bullshit?

Shove it where the sun don't shine.

Oh, and as an educational aside, here's a definition of self-congratulaory from Thesaurus.com

Synonyms for self-congratulatory
adj pleased with oneself

smug arrogant
complacent conceited

content egotistic
flushed pleased

proud vain
bigheaded full of oneself

puffed up

Quite a good summary of the whole diatribe I think.

"Go away kid, you bother me."
