Pretty Much Being Scammed

Well what is happening is i bid on an auction got the highest bid now this guy just keeps updating the days it will go from 2 days to 4 days to 3 days to 4 days etc. In my opinion I think CCP should upgrade their auction system to avoid SCAMS like this from ever happening.

Here is a picture even his name says SCAM all over it now that I see it SadAttention

This guy also blocked me so I cannot send him a message as well :/

This is not Crime and Punishment.

Also, scams are a part of EVE. Learn to identify them and stay away from them. CCP won't be doing anything about it because you went in on the contract either knowing the risks, or ignorant of them. Either way, taking a contract is entirely at your own peril.

No, I'm playing a game, as a set of pixels. If you're playing as a real person then you're not playing EVE.

Learn to distinguish fantasy from reality before you go making RL comparisons regarding EVE. It will help you immensely, as will knowing something about the game to begin with.

New Eden is not a nice place. The pilots are mean and the business atmosphere is not exactly run by the most reputable of people.

Learn fast. Or you'll soon be biomassed.

Darth. Welcome to Eve Online. Scamming via the tools that CCP have given players is entirely legal and largely acceptable to the Eve Online playerbase. To take your real life analogy further, Eve Online is not set in Europe or the United States, but in Somalia. If you got the muscle and the support you might get your isk back, if you are a small time lone ranger trying to keep his nose clean - you need to step on egg shells when dealing with any one.

I'm logging on now to check. But you're right, I don't think it is, but I know shotgun rules apply at some point and I know that people bidding can't see exactly how long a contract has left on it. I also know that you can only bid as much as you want to, and unless an auction is finalised, the auction owner won't get that money, and if you're outbid, you can end bidding and get your money back.

Isk pretty much is gone he keeps updating the days. It will go from 2 days to 4 days then 4 days to 3 days etc. He won't be nice about it probably some fat bch sitting in mommys basement scamming for the hell of it

Neither did I, once a contract is up as far as I know it can't be edited, it can however be deleted and reissued, which is what I suspect is happening here.
