To aspire to be a PvP god

Lately I have come across a PvP series called 'Samurai Revenge' on youtube made by the user 'Guadosss' and when I looked at the latest one... I was awestruck over the skill and power of the player. Warfare links and drugs aside (all is fair in null sec combat I suppose), he really shows what determination and skill really looks like. Even in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds and numbers, he still pulls through and takes down many more enemies before he has to either retreat or eventually goes down.

If anything, he embodies the spirit of a true PvP god.

To which I must ask.... what would it take to come even close to his level of skill and power?

The people he's fighting are bad. Vagabond within scram range? Awful. Griffin who couldn't land a single jam cycle? Skill yourself.

Never underestimate the power of a mediocre player with links and drugs vs bads.

Yeah, not sure you qualify as a PVP god when you only take fights you know you can win. Not saying that's a bad thing but definitely disqualifies you from god status.

Actually I did not make the videos. I came across it. Like I stated in my OP, it is made by a player named Guadosss.

I was merely asking what it would take to be so skilled. But from the look of the replies, he appearently came across poorly skilled players. That kinda deflated him a bit for me.

Again it wasn't me playing there. A player named Guadosss made the movies and had those fights. I merely came across them and were a bit awed at those fights.

This for sure. Most of the guys I've admired / respected over the years run about 80% on their win / lose percentage.

A guy that bats 1000 in eve isn't playing the game - he's playing it safe. Totally different things in my book.

The problem with most youtubers is they will not post bad PVP experiances and may lose 30 ships before even creating a good PVP video.
Its abit like call of duty, you see guys doing all this quickscoping and stuff but what you dont see is the constant games where they hit nothing and go 0-19 just to get one decent clip.

So with other words, youtubers are not simply reliable? That's a shame. Because skill is something that one work hard to achieve. And when I look at the video, I would believe he is skilled. But with this fact... it makes me very doubtful suddenly. A shame.

Don't get me wrong, there is still some skill involved to be able to PVP effectively on any game but they are not 'Gods'.

Most ive seen sit on low sec gates in high active tanking ships waiting for unorganized gangs to drop on them and die horribly to mainly gate gun fire, I don't disagree with it as I find it entertaining personally and I myself would use any advantage to win a fight but this still boils down to the fact that these guys are not 'Gods' as if you check their killboard stats they have lost hell of alot before getting there youtube fight.
