[Suggestion]Team Auction Changes

Now that we've all had some time to see what they're like, I'd like to propose some changes to the Team Auctions system.

1) Notification when you are outbid. An evemail notification fires off whenever the system, for which you are bidding for, loses the lead for the team you are bidding for. Opt In, Default Opt Out
2) Sniper Rule. If your system bid for a team during the normal part of the auction, you have 5 minutes from the time of the previous bid to increase your bid. This continues until the time since the last bid exceeds 5 minutes or the auction time expires, whichever happens LAST
3) Add a filter for Type of bonus (e.g. Material or Time), so that you can look for the type of bonus you are wanting. A sliding scale for the % of bonus would be a GREAT addition too.

Not sure how much people would like #2, I know I would.

I dunno, maybe also include a maximum bid amount, so that your bid will automatically increase as others bid, up to your maximum amount. Seems like I remember that being a feature on eBay. Maximum bid amount would still be taken in escrow, but any unused amount would be refunded to you at the end of the auction.

In the same vein, be able to set a minimum bid increment to apply to your maximum bid amount

e.g. Maximum bid is 50m, with a starting bid of 1m. Bid increment is set to 250k. If a bid of 2m comes in, auto increments your bid by 250k until your maximum is reached, so the current bid would be 2.25m.

I don't like it and for some reason have difficulties explaining why. It would go against the complexity of Eve which I like.

Yes, very much, I support this idea.


One more point to add - have Team in the Chartering tab you already bid on different colour background so team of my interest are obvious rightaway.

One more point to add - have Team in the Chartering tab you already bid on different colour background so team of my interest are obvious rightaway.


You get notified of Contract auctions you are bidding on if you get outbid (iirc, it has been a long time since I bid on one)...so there is a precedent there.

I'd expand upon what you said at the bottom. We need a "Teams I have Bid On" filter in general.
