Would you use a station-specific sale grapher?

Hi all, I'm from Facepunch's programming section. I'm a bit of a programmer and a bit of a station trader and I'm sort of curious if anyone would use this application I'm considering creating:

Eve tracks regional market statistics about items sold, but does not track station-specific item sales. If a merchant was to establish a market presence in a new region and wished to participate in lucrative markets he probably has an idea of where the markets are most profitable, but probably has no idea where they are most active. It may be the case that the majority of trade takes place in a lowsec or otherwise dangerous system in that region, and the merchant could waste his resources attempting to capitalize on the market from a distant station. This tool addresses that problem by charting the sales of items per month at specific stations. This potentially allows the merchant to make more revenue or avoid costly mistakes by placing bid orders at stations with high instantaneous sell transaction rates.

Here's a mock-up of how it would work:

Mock-up

Limitations:
I can't get any information about current markets unless I get it from user specific market transactions. (Traditionally part of the full API key, now customizable)
I can't compare market data between players unless it is sent to a central server. (Something I'm willing to consider)

Would anyone use this?

Failing that, I'm willing to entertain other ideas for market tools if someone has a desperate wish to know just how much chocolate is sold in Rens every week.

The problem is mostly that traders would be generally unwilling to hand out their data to the general public in my opinion. At the time you are helping yourself a bit, you are also helping out the opposition.

That said, I can safely say that most trade takes place in well known hubs :P

The market data of volumes is public, check the history tab. If you could find a good way to export that and compare it across regions it would be really helpful. Donated api transactions would be pretty useless because for the inconvenience of logging on an alt in another region I could be tons more accurate about the difference in volumes.

Also eve-central already has a "movement" number generated by donated transaction data, its not that useful and I'm sure they have more api's than you would have for a while when you start out.
