Ok, it sounds like you still had an active limited engagement timer when you undocked again.

For future reference, it will be a blue countdown timer in the upper left of the screen. Any time you re-agress him, the timer will reset.

If I were you, I would accept the wardec. Its a great way for new players to learn about eve, and the most important lesson of all -- you are going to lose things in this game, and thats a good thing.

Never be afraid of your mistakes here as long as you learn from them.

Edit: The best place to learn without actually losing anything will be on the test server, SiSi. Lookup how to login if you are interested.

Apart from that, I wouldnt trust anyone who offers to duel you. Most of them will indeed destroy and pod you if they are able.

Ivel ost an apoc in a wormhole because i didnt bring probes. I lost 900m last week cus someone likes to suidice gank random ships. Im aware that losing stuff is apart of the game. I was aware that I was going to lose my ships in both those fights with him. I acepted that fact. But he broke his word. We agreed no killing pods. But not only did he kill my pod, he did it when I was defenseless and didnt even know it was still possible. And for that he deserves to die.

No player that you do not know for loong time is to be trusted. And no player that you do not know in real life is to be trusted tooo much.

When you asked him to not kill your pod you basically convinced him that your pod was very expensive andyou made him WANT to kill your pod.

And you think lessons on station combat will involve what? Station combat is on the lowest level of combat in game where you must assume theother guy will do shenannigans and you must have shenannigans in reserve to counter him

I wont kill him for you, but I will indeed help you learn how to kill him yourself.

C&P doesnt laugh at new guys. (I can see your character is older, did you purchase it?)

Most of the personalities who inhabit this subforum are happy to educate anyone who is willing to listen.

Ill be online later, if you would prefer a one on one convo, ill oblige.

I'm interested!! I'm an older character aswell but only because I have taken more break time from the game than actual play time.

But I need to learn this game. It's an OCD thing

The advice I was referring to was from Leto Thule, At no point unless it is in secret writing did I mention anything to do with station combat as you put it.

Seriously! You need to taste your words before spitting them out.

You should still learn to PvP from Leto, but in the meantime if you want him to pay for it, this is your man right here...^^^

Confirming. Kane is quite possibly the best. (I've never seen anyone better)

Also take Leto's advice though. Pretty much any of the guys who have commented on this thread will gladly answer any questions you have if you private convo or eve-mail them. Some might have convo's blocked, so don't take that personally, and some might get swarms of mails and or not check their mail too often, so again don't take it personally if you don't get a response from someone.

As for the trolling, your post was not one that was likely to get trolled, and seeing as I enjoy trolling threads that deserve it, you can believe that.

Learn the mechanics, but also learn high sec tactics. As someone pointed out, neutral reps will dramatically swing a fight in one direction. If you consider yourself better than that, you still need to be aware of it and have a plan to deal with it should it happen. (For instance have someone standing by to jump on your opponents neutral reps and kill them when they go suspect. Tons of people will gladly do that for you. I would.)

I suggest you seek the proper counseling and medication in order to understand that your desire to cause harm to others in RL for a in-game dispute is neither warranted or acceptable.

We didn't even fight at a station. we were somewhere in the middle of space. There was someone who was standing about 30km away from our fight. Is it possible he had a friend repping him that did not start blinking yellow?

Its likely thats what they were there for, however had they actually repped him, they will always go suspect. (Providing remote assistance to anyone with a LE timer will flag you suspect.)

A good idea to counter this is to have a buddy ready to intervene. As you have stated, most of your corpies may be rather new, but dont let that dissuade you. How can you be effective as a new player?

In this situation, I would have a corp mate accompany you in an ECM ship, off grid, but in your fleet. Have him align to you and be at speed so they can instawarp at range from your LE and jam out the logi.

A blackbird is an exceptional ship that will let players with lower-ish skillpoint pilots make a very high impact on fleet engagements. It takes a few days of training to have a combat-capable ECM ship, but for jamming out logi, you could possibly (depending if they are comp trained or running ECCM) be effective with a few hours of training.

ECM is also fantastic at producing tears.

This type of thing can give you info about what he intends to do even before the fight start.

If he ask to fight at a planet his tactics will be different than if he ask to do it at a station etc... you need to learn those and you need to have answers to each.

HIgh sec combat is more a poker game than strategy.

Remote sensor damps work just as well as ecm, makes him believe he's still in the fight when hes not, damping out his logi, and him will create delicious tears when you kill them all.

I still need an assassin to kill him. If you have ever seen any of Jason Statham's movies no matter what character he portrays, he operates on a moral compass of principles that guide him. Example, the movie Parker. I operate in a similar fashion off of principles. I am honest, I do not lie nor do I steal and I treat people the way I expect to be treated.

I will not be able to kill him, I do not have the skills or the knowhow to hunt him down and destroy him. But I will pay someone that does to do it for me.

You'll be able to kill him, but you might need some help. Hunting a single target is very time intensive and most players will charge high prices for it unless they know that the target will be an easy high value kill. Feel free to mail new with any intel you have on his operations, and I'll take a look, but I can't promise results. I strongly suggest you take Leto up on his offer. You might also want to mail Cannibal Kane.

He messaged me wanting to fight again... I convinced him to pay for my clone and part of my ships so i got some money back and will be fighting him again soon. I can use my corpies for EWAR while i dish out dps

I will have an exact time and location the fight will be taking place. I will be making a new corp for him to wardec so my corpies can participate. apparently he wants a 3/4 v 1 kind of fight.

It would be good to go in expecting him to play dirty, and plan for it. If he does not, then cool, you can have your fun 3 on 1 fight with him. But if he pulls something funny, it would be good to have some backup ready.
