Don't know why it isn't stickied.Straight

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Out of curiosity why did you pick Amarr FW?

I was considering Amarr, but I was told it is totally dead and awful right now, and if I wanted to be an underdog then to go with Caldari. Not sure how accurate this is.. and I would still like to join Amarr because I want the ships and LP stuff for them, but if they are dead and lame, then I wouldn't want to.

I certainly hope this isn't the truth; my main's Caldari and I've too much pride to take him elsewhere, so I rolled an Amarr instead because I wanted to actually feel like I was participating in something other than a hopeless situation.

Honestly, I don't know what to think anymore. Caldari currently owns 9 systems, and is at like 2% overall victory.. Amarr at least is tier 2 and is holding onto it's own territory. I can't make up my mind what faction to join, it is all very confusing at the moment.

Each militia will bash the other in this forum because making you not join one is a win for another.

Right now caldari is probably best to join for pvp oppurtunity against a decent foe. Isk wise it doesn't matter, just roll and alt when you need isk for the militia thats opposite your pvp char when it can't make isk by itself. To stay on ogood side of your pvp militia just don't plex with your alt and stick to missions. Job done, you get isk and you get pvp :)

Some of the most fun current Amarrian Militia pilots remember was when Amarr held sovereignty only in Sahtogas as the last remaining system.

What you want, ideally is to join a corp that is active, flies fleets when it is important to do so, let's you tinker, solo, capsule, fly and chooses a system that they treat as home base and defend to the last breath.

This gives gravitas and fun in equal measure - a result that I'd expect to appeal

It really isnt. Doesnt matter which militia you join. Success in militia amounts to bragging rights and income potential.

Though it has to be said the earning potential for the losing side is still good in general eve terms.

Beyond that, objectives and lines in the sand are drawn by your associates and fun is had succeeding or failing to achieve them.

Actually failing is never good option, it just indicates that goals are set too high. Goals should always be challenging but doable so people keep up high morale and keep going for ever.

Yep...why strive for higher success when you can settle for secure mediocrity...
