PLEX changes with Hyperion

CCP is going to introduce new PLEX variants with Hyperion that will be available in the Store thing

    PLEX (additional variants)
  • Multiple Pilot Training Certificate (This could be a way for CCP to regulate a good share of demand for PLEX or even remove this share of demand from the PLEX market itself)
  • Pilot Body Resculpt Certificate

It may cause an interesting change on the demand side of the market (depending on the pricing). Especially the 'Multiple Pilot Training Certificate'.

What are your thoughts?

Yes CCP, please introduce more useless plex features to increase the price. Just a matter of time until we reach 1b a Plex.

Actually it's the exact opposite... Dual training for PLEX from the store, so you don't need the PLEX from the market anymore. I think it's a attempt to regulate the market and drop PLEX prices.

The way I see it when you buy a PLEX you'd be able to redeem it for either a PLEX or one of those new thingies, which will strain supply somewhat. So a rise in price is not an unreasonable expectation. I'm more interested where the prices for the new features will settle down.

Character Re-sculpt and Multiple Character Training available through the New Eden Store
It will be extra supply for the ones that use PLEX for multiple character training. The item itself is different from PLEX. So this will lead to less demand for 'real' PLEX.

It seems I've somehow missed that part Oops I blame it on the extreme heat.

With that said, I still don't think PLEX prices will decrease due to this. EvE is very multiboxy in nature so the drop-off in demand for PLEX isn't going to be that noticeable I think.
