Not a troll just been away a while. What are most pilots flying into solo PVP fights these days? No need to post fittings unless you want to because I am willing to do the research.

- Cash flow is fine but i'm no billionaire.
- I can fly most T2 frigs, destroyers, HAC's, Interceptors and BS's with a level IV - V mastery.
- I'm really just trying to learn the ropes in PVP so I know I will lose lots of ships.
- Currently own all Minmatar ships.

Thanks for reading and replies in advance.

Best,

Droneboats in general have made leaps and bounds in popularity. There's not drawback to using drones with so many hulls having bonuses to drone damage and hitpoints. People can focus your drones but you can put out a 2nd wave and by then they'll be dead. You can't be kited you can outbrawl brawlers with a neut or blaster fit.

I'm loving the garmur and worm myself.

Should also consider how many fights you'll get flying those (read: close to 0 )

Good stuff thank you all for your advice. However, I don't think I'll be hull tanking anything for a while at least until I get my feet wet (or soaked Lol ).

Best way to learn the wrong/correct way to do things from what I understand. I would rather lose a few dozen ships and have a solid understanding of the game mechanics before jumping into a roam/fleet battle with seasoned combat players and looking like a dork. 2 Cents.

With those ships it's about forcing fights. No, you can't sit in a plex and hope a fight comes to you, they are hunters, not bait.

Charlie killed a daredevil in his hull tanked Algos. Not even joking. Dude saw Charlie's shields and armor drop so fast, thought he had it in the bag, moved in a little too close as Charlie was about to hit structure and... woopsie!

from tormentor to gila. basically all ships i own are designed to work solo. I mean its easier to ask what ship is not a good choice for solo than the other way around ;)

My flavor of the month is something what can solo worms or garmurs, since they are trendy atm. So i have usually something ready to deal with those.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Rail Comet gets fights, and wins most of them.

Dont be a Garmur nonce, go have an actual fight.

Care to elaborate on this? I'm really curious about how different people go at it to find fights, always something to learn from more experienced players

In FW hunting is mostly 2 things:

- being fast with your DScanner
- going balls deep

Especially if you fly things that people usually want to run away from (Hawks, Harpies, Worms, Garmurs, all that obviously OP ****) you need to engage as soon as possible.

I personally donĀ“t fly those ships but I fly the same way. My hulltanked Catalyst or Algos costs 3 mil and you would be wondering how many people are flyling bad if not given any chance to properly react.
