I seek assistance in blowing up some Hulks. Not looking for someone to do it for me, but rather what would I need in order to accomplish this myself. You see , I like to keep my options open and not rely on others being around to get into hooliganism. I'm looking to blow up stuff solo. Is it possible to kill hulks in, say, 0.5 solo these days? Anyone responding here is appreciated, or a mail or in game conversation is also great (if we want to keep things hush hush)

Also, anyone else looking to get into this sort of thing and looking to tag team, I'm in.

I must warn you in advance, though, that after this weekend, there will be a brand new Vagrant in my family, so my time could shrink for a little while.

I thank you all.

Know your target first. Passive targeter and ship scanner in a t1 frig used to belt rat or even in a t1 exploration ship in station works. This way you can see if your target is set for max yield/no tank, max tank, or something in between.

Also, get a program like EFT. Plug in the enemy fit based on all level 5 skills. See if they have a large resistance hole or not.
Setup your own API in EFT and see what your DPS is and what your Alpha is. Compare results and see.

In a .5, higher DPS may work out well as concord response is slower. In a .7, you may only get a shot off, so high alpha is better.

Still, the above would get you started on how to go this solo without needing to ask if you can do it.

You might find the following links handy for general info:
EFT and ganker training and Evolution of a Catalyst pilot

Contact DJentropy Ovaert or John E Normus if you'd like to get involved in a few ganks to learn the ropes.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If the hulk isn't fit well, or is anti-tanked, yes you can solo it in a 0.5 with good ganking skills and some implants. As soon as he starts tanking slots though, you might need to bring a friend. Beyond that, seek the advice and links listed above which some highly respected individuals have been kind enough to link for you.
