To come back to this thread with a semi serious response, I don't understand how people get to a point where they are completely baffled that someone shot them without any provocation. You get a massive warning that low sec and null sec are dangerous the very first time you go there. Players there are hostile. How is this hard to understand?

And even if PVP wasn't the main driving force of this game; this is the internet. People will inherently find ways to make life miserable for others, just because they can.

If you don't like that or can't accept the fact that every player in EVE is a potential threat then this is not the game for you.

+1 for the Mother of Dragons taking it doggy style, although the expression on her face suggests Khal Drogo missed the pink and potted the brown.

Hopefully, amidst the trolling, a point emerges from this thread that gate mechanics suck and letting ships dial in warps the way it's done in basic sci fi from Star Wars to Star Trek would do much to jazz up the game and retain players. Funneling (forcing) players through kill zones and then telling them "they need to double their sub cost" with a scout looks like a scam to normal people and they move on. If gates were so wonderful, why are the big alliances using JFs and JB networks?

How did you manage to lose a Crow on a gate? Do you not know how to Inty? were you gate camping and didn't realized a Cloaky Loki was sharing space with you? Did you not jump right on to a gate and jump? (if you're manually jumping there is no possible way for you to be locked and popped before you are through).. Did you walk away while making jumps and not get back in time for the decloak on the otherside of a gate?

I just find this hard to believe.

You died because you obviously do not know the game mechanics. And people shot you for laughs, and now you're giving the twats satisfaction by raging like the kid you are on the forums. It's good to have you gone, we'll get rid of one less crybaby who's sobbing over a CovOps ship.

PS: If you ever get your head out of your butt and want to seek revenge, find a stealth bomber and kill the f*ckers.

Edit: If you had a CovOps ship with a CovOps cloak, you could ACTUALLY warp while cloaked and you could never have to worry about gankers again.

^ THIS SO MUCH THIS!!

If you do not understand the basic functions of the ship you're flying and the abilities of the items you have fitted to that ship along with any of the bonuses of said ship.. you have absolutely zero business being in that ship.. and even less business flying it into low/null sec space.

Funny how some people come in defense of OP in the "we need to help him" fashion while he didn't even helped himself to google the game or play the tutorials

Anyone who comes crying after being punched in a MMA fight or for being punished after kicking the ball in a basket match well deserves to be drowned in the troll tsunami

What do Killboards have to do with understanding the basic fittings and uses of modules on ships? I mine for a living and am in Industry. Its the same thing there.. If you don't understand the different bonuses of your ship and use it to full efficiency why are you even flying it?

You shot my exploration ship for no reason.

From now on, I will tell everyone who askes, to stay away from this game.

I know this is wrtitten in a moment of anger, but when you can not even feel safe in a cloaked covert ops ship, with covert ops cloaking, there is no meaning to try.

I had no chance to get out of gate cloak and in to my own, because I got targetet so fast.

And if that is how it workes, i´m out.

Gl to all, and you can give me all your reasons, I still do not think, that is how cloaked exploring should work.

Sorry for your loss, but as many people have pointed out it happens to even the most seasoned of veterans.

TBH would you really want to be able to go anywhere you wanted with impunity? One of the best parts of this game is the uncertainty and that feeling you get in your stomach when you jump into that gate camp and the joy you feel when you get away or the anguish of when you don’t.

Real loss and the community is what keeps me in Eve. You have to get your head right to deal with the loss if you’re planning on sticking around.

If you can’t get your head right with the loss then better to cut and run now than later.

And I was not AFK. An instalock ship with guns ready that can one shot you (a Loki in this case - not a cheap gank) will do the job, intie or not. I have been through a score of instalock bubble camps with the same hull.

Yes hard to believe. Lucky for me it was with a hold full of relic site stuff that I found and not the 163 million ISK of BPs and modules that I came through the same gate with a week earlier.

One thing that worked against me and I have had this happen twice, is that the client seems to freeze when encountering a bubble for the first time in a given session. if I go through bubbles then it's no problem with the next instalock camp. When it's the first bubble of the day, the client takes a pause to load the effect. Either a faster system would help but I have not checked to see if the bubble effect can be shut off. (and if not, it should be).
